Job Duties: Create user information solutions by developing, implementing and maintaining Java based components and interfaces. Write well designed, testable, efficient code and ensure designs are in compliance with specifications. Prepare and produce releases of software components. Support continuous improvements by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review. Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools. Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

What you have

Job Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or related field and 72 months of progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience in a related occupation. . Experience must include 72 months involving the following: Java programming and the Spring framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, and cloud-native microservices and combined with expertise in using Veracode for application security scanning, vulnerability assessment, and remediation of security issues in code and dependencies and designing multi-tier back-end systems and services; Integrating solutions with MongoDB, MS SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases combined skilled in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting BMC database queries for data extraction and analysis within BMC systems; Splunk for analytics and handling complex external API integrations, including authentication, error handling, data transformation, and secure communication with third-party services and Proficient in deploying and managing those applications/services on Cloud Foundry (PCF); GIT source control, unit testing, Bamboo CI/CD processes and agile methodologies; Front-end development using Angular and related frameworks, combined with expertise in Apache Kafka for stream processing, topic configuration, and developing consumers and producers; and Disaster Recovery (DR) plan execution, including planning, testing, and implementing recovery procedures to ensure business continuity during system outages or failures. .
