Schwab’s Prospect Conversion Team is an integral part of the Investor Services organization and is primarily responsible for the retail acquisition of prospects, as well as new retail clients who have been with Schwab for less than 90 days. We strive to create consistent and exceptional client interactions to ensure every client experiences the very best Schwab has to offer. We accomplish this by focusing on the client’s holistic needs, assisting with new account openings, proposing relevant solutions, and navigating clients through the steps necessary to ensure they are in a fully integrated relationship with Schwab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead an engaged sales team in supporting the firm's acquisition and growth efforts to convert prospects and deepen client relationships through ensuring that our new clients experience the very best Schwab has to offer. Your team of Investment Consultants proactively work with new and potential clients to address their financial needs and to help them achieve financial fitness. The Consultants engage prospects in needs-based dialogue to gain a thorough understanding of their needs, position the appropriate Schwab strategies and services, and help to consolidate assets and accounts to Schwab.
- Perform regular monitoring of business development conversations and sales activities to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and ensure the appropriate client experience. Identify opportunities and implement regular coaching sessions with each Consultant to solidify and refine their sales process.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partners such as Marketing, Branch Network, and Client Services.
A typical day would include:
- Sales coaching and sales process management
- Developing your team by leveraging effective training and performance management
- Analysis of performance data for trends and actions
- Interviewing prospective employees
- Collaborating with business partners
- Performing the compliance and administrative tasks inherent in our industry
What you have
Required qualifications:
- Active and valid FINRA Series 7
- Active and valid FINRA Series 9/10 may be obtained within 90 days of employment
- Active and valid FINRA Series 66 (63/65) may be obtained within 120 days of employment
- Minimum of 5 years in financial services industry
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of previous sales experience.
- Bachelors Degree
- Proven success in establishing quality cross enterprise partnerships
- Excellent working knowledge of Schwab's retail products and services
- Demonstrated leadership, management, and motivational skills
- A desire to lead, passion for sales management, and a deep commitment to client service
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of proven success in sales and overall leadership
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
