  • A broad range of solutions offered through Stock Plan Services (SPS) to publicly traded companies for the administration of their equity compensation and employee stock purchase plans, up to and including full outsourcing capabilities.  
  • Designated Brokerage Services (DBS) help employers who have a responsibility to monitor employee trading needs through a comprehensive approach, including DBS and financial services for their employees, so they can proactively protect their business and employees.

The Participant Engagement Delivery team helps plan sponsors bring the full value of Schwab to their employees. We partner across Workplace Financial Services and Schwab’s broader capabilities to connect participants with relevant resources, education, help, guidance, financial planning and solutions that create better financial outcomes.

As a Participant Engagement Consultant, you will help develop, deliver, and drive participant engagement strategies for assigned clients across retirement plans, stock plans, and related workplace solutions. In this role, you will work closely with plan sponsors, internal partners, and service teams to understand client goals, identify needs, and activate Schwab resources that help employees take meaningful action toward their financial goals and plan-sponsors get the most out of their Schwab relationship.

We will look to you too:

  • Serve as a business-to-business (B2B) client-facing consultant to plan sponsors helping to deliver participant engagement. Your job is connecting employees with Schwab’s education, guidance, digital tools, and broader financial solutions.
  • Support the development and execution of data-informed participant engagement plans aligned to client priorities, workforce needs, and measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinate and deliver engagement activities such as education events, campaigns, meetings, webinars, targeted communications, and retail engagement experiences.
  • Partner with internal teams across Workplace Services and broader Schwab channels to connect participants with relevant resources, products, services, and support.
  • Build trusted relationships with plan sponsors and client service teams by providing proactive insights, clear recommendations, and timely follow-through.
  • Monitor engagement results, identify trends or gaps, and share recommendations that help improve participant engagement, education effectiveness, and overall client satisfaction.
  • Consult to scalable offers and protect resources.  Be able to ruthlessly prioritize opportunities and deliver win-win-win situations.
  • Support new plan sales efforts by helping articulate Schwab’s participant engagement approach, capabilities, and value proposition to prospective plan sponsors and partners.
  • Contribute to sales, retention, and client expansion efforts by articulating how Schwab’s participant engagement capabilities deliver value for plan sponsors and their employees.

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of financial services, workplace benefits, participant education, relationship management, consulting, or related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data and client needs into practical engagement recommendations.
  • Clear and confident communicator with strong listening skills and the ability to present effectively in client, participant, and internal meetings.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and build partnerships across internal teams, plan sponsors, and business partners.
  • Comfort coordinating multiple priorities, managing timelines, and delivering high-quality engagement experiences in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on improving participant engagement, driving action, and measuring impact.
  • Ability to do business travel, approximately 25%, based on client needs and the engagement delivery model.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Understanding of retirement plans, stock plans, financial wellness, or employee benefit programs.
  • FINRA Series 7 license.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
