Schwab Asset Management (SAM) is the asset management arm of the Charles Schwab Corporation. The SAM team is passionately committed to helping investors achieve their financial goals. Reporting to the Director, SAM Product Strategy and Development, the Senior Manager, Product Strategy and Development, plays a critical role in driving the growth and competitiveness of Schwab’s Target Date Solutions and related products. This leader will collaborate within and across teams to ensure our offerings meet client needs and market demands by both shaping product strategy and delivering on day-to-day product management processes and requirements.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Drive Product Growth Initiatives: Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and execute product development opportunities to enhance the Schwab Target Date Solutions and related offerings.
  • Develop and Manage Institutional and Retail Collateral: Oversee the creation and management of a comprehensive suite of marketing and client-facing materials that support sales and engagement.
  • Enable Sales Success: Partner with sales and related teams on finals presentations, competitive analysis, and RFP responses to drive new business.
  • Collaborate with CSTB: Work closely with Charles Schwab Trust Bank (CSTB) to support Collective Investment Trusts and ensure alignment with broader product strategy.

This is an individual contributor role that requires a proactive, self-driven professional who thrives in cross-functional environments. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships, collaborate effectively across teams, and deliver results on both day-to-day priorities and long-term strategic initiatives. Success in this role requires the ability to influence key decisions and shape strategic direction.

This full-time position, based in Westlake, Texas, is part of the Schwab Asset Management Product Management and Innovation team.

What you have


Required qualifications:

  • 10+ years of financial services experience and a strong understanding of the asset management industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Superior relationship-building skills and established ability to work across asset management functions and departments
  • Knowledge of asset management governance and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to interact with and influence multiple levels of management
  • Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and is committed to serving the needs of investors
  • Highly organized and detail-orientated with an ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred qualifications:

  • Series 7 and 24 Licenses

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
