Estate Services is a specialized organization within the broader Schwab Operational Services Enterprise providing high-touch service to our clients and to the advisors that serve them. As a Specialist in the Specialty Estates focus, you will be responsible for creating an outstanding experience to clients in order to build and maintain client loyalty. The Specialty Estates Specialist primary focus centers on supporting the following functions: Durable Power of Attorney (DPOA), Divorce, and International Estates.
Specialty Estates provides individuals the opportunity to practice Risk Mitigation and Critical thinking skills through complex review and analysis of legal documents. The Specialist - Specialty Estates professional is responsible for assisting in overseeing the review of these legal documents in order to ensure internal business procedures are adhered to during case management.

- Deliver unparalleled value and remarkable service to our clients in order to build and maintain client loyalty
- Leverage emotional intelligence to meet clients and inheritors emotional needs during a challenging life event
- Demonstrate a strong passion for client service, exhibiting positive energy and problem-solving skills to connect with our clients through all channels
- Manage time effectively to provide efficient and timely responses in a fast-paced business environment
- Take ownership and effectively engage with clients, their agents, or third parties to resolve complex matters.
- Review legal documents including letters of appointment and court orders.
- Communicate with internal departments and provide support and expertise regarding complicated issues related to decedent’s estates and court orders.
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in legal or financial services including; brokerage, banking, legal/paralegal, or research
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related area (will consider relevant work experience)
- Experience reviewing legal documents including letters of appointment, trusts, power of attorney documents, and court orders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated passion for service and the financial markets
- Series 7, 63 license preferred
- Able to empathize and respond sensitively to clients during life event conversations
- Outstanding written and verbal communication capability
- Excellent logical reasoning, problem solving and research skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and navigate multiple systems and processes
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
