The Senior Relationship Support Specialist is the front line of the regional office supporting the Relationship Managers in answering questions, providing consulting, and supporting important manager functions. In addition, you will provide the highest level of support to existing Schwab Advisor Services Institutional clients; discuss products and services with clients that will help their practices and build their relationship with Schwab; Actively seek and develop new client relationships as well as seek to increase Schwab's custodial role with existing RIA relationships.
Sales Support
- Providing strategic sales support by offering solutions and executing plans that focus on addressing institutional clients’ needs.
- Assisting with the sales process by working with and supporting sales representatives and existing RIA relationships.
- Build and foster strong client and internal relationships through managing multiple client situations, needs and inquiries on an ongoing basis.
- Creating agendas, meeting presentations, and sales materials, to facilitate client meetings.
- Demonstrating strong and concise verbal and written communication with clients, team members and business partners.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team, while handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Providing project management support for various RIA relationship activities or updates. These may include large new money deals, new advisors, mergers & acquisitions, breakaways, and many other possible items
What you have
- Manage local event administration including partnering with sponsors and event managers, scheduling, invitations, attendance confirmation, and post-event follow up.
- Coordinating and preparing various regional reports such as, margin reports, event reports, holiday card reports, etc.
- Research and provide up to date information on industry/firm/relationship changes for Relationship Managers to leverage in the sales process.
- Assist the sales representatives with funnel management and other sales activities.
- 3+ years financial services experience required
- Experience in client service or sales support roles preferred
- A valid and active FINRA Series 7 license required
- A valid and active FINRA Series 63 license required
- Strong client service skills with ability to anticipate and resolve problems with own initiative
- Knowledge of Schwab products and services and brokerage industry including operations and trading
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong PC skills in MS office applications including EXCEL and PowerPoint are required
- Well organized with good time-management skills
