DAFgiving360 has entered into a services agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for administrative and other services, including human resources. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and will be subject to its policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to DAFgiving360 for day-to-day activities.
Our opportunity:
The DAFgiving360 Risk and Operational Compliance team is responsible for administering the centralized enterprise policy governance program for the firm with a focus on collaboration, consistency, timeliness and effectiveness, providing risk guidance to an assigned business unit(s) and participating in projects as assigned.
The Sr. Manager, Risk & Policy Governance Lead will be responsible for the overall execution of the DAFgiving360 policy governance program, collaborating closely with Senior Management Team and delegates, business partners/subject matter experts on the development/management of policy and standards, and providing risk support to the Marketing team, Training and Communications teams.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Risk & Enterprise Policy Governance, to lead the DAFgiving360 policies governance program, inclusive of enterprise-wide charitable business policies and applicable Schwab policies. Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the policy owners and/or delegates to maintain a rolling 2-year policy revision and prioritization plan
- Executing, in collaboration with other delegated staff within firm, the policy governance plan
- Establishing best practices and driving consistency across the firm with respect to policies and working with the Knowledge Management team on the development of relevant procedures, job aids, and/or templates
- Creating and maintaining a framework for policies ensuring adherence to enterprise-level standards, consistency across firm policies and procedures and create appropriate related reporting for SMT and governance committees
- Collaborating closely with DAFgiving360’ s Knowledge Management team, DAFgiving360 subject matter experts, Schwab Compliance team policy subject matter experts, Schwab WABT Policy 1LOD team and other internal and external business partners
- Being the primary subject matter expert for all enterprise policy/standard matters for DAFgiving360
- Serving as a Risk business partner to the Marketing and Training teams
What you have
- 8+ years of experience in Compliance or risk management at a broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, charitable organization and/or banking institution
- 5+ years of experience writing Compliance and/or risk management policies or standards
- Demonstrated domain expertise in business and regulatory with the capability to assess impacts of changes related to policy, standards and/or procedure
- Strong understanding of policy and standard governance infrastructure at Schwab
- Proficiency in Microsoft 360 applications (Copilot, Power Automate, Sharepoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, and change management skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver verbal and written communications that are clear, concise, and impactful with their intended audiences
- Strategic thinker who can anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies
