What you’ll do:
Schwab Advisor Services is seeking a Sr. Manager of Data Transformation & Adoption Strategy, who thrives in complexity and ambiguity and is energized by turning multifaceted data into clear insights and actionable direction. This role sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and execution—helping Advisor Services identify where friction exists, where opportunity is hiding, and what actions will most effectively drive adoption of key initiatives such as digital self-service, paperless enrollment, and simplified advisor workflows.
This role will partner closely across Service, Digital, Technology, Product, Operations, and Strategy teams, while also owning executive-level reporting and insight generation for senior leadership across Advisor Services. Success in this role requires someone who can comfortably dig into the weeds, ask the right questions, synthesize themes, and confidently connect insights to outcomes and decisions.
As the Senior Manager, Data Transformation & Adoption Strategy, you will:
- Design and execute reporting strategies for existing and new initiatives (e.g., digital redirect policies) by defining success measures up front, evaluating current metrics, identifying gaps, and partnering cross-functionally on reporting as solutions are designed and implemented.
- Own recurring and ad-hoc executive reporting for Advisor Services initiatives related to adoption, paperless enrollment, and digital usage, including serving as the business owner for the SAC Technology Adoption Dashboard
- Lead and coordinate analytics, reporting, dashboards, and data visualization efforts using tools such as Tableau
- Turn complex analysis into clear, actionable insights and concise storytelling for leaders—highlighting what’s happening, why it matters, and where to focus.
- Oversee the creation and management of dashboards and summaries that track key performance indicators (KPIs), including adoption trends, efficiency savings, processing times, and more.
- Analyze and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data (adoption metrics, operational data, feedback, and ad hoc analyses) to identify key themes, trends, and opportunities.
- Partner cross-functionally with Service, Digital, Product, Technology, Operations, and Change teams to identify and prioritize opportunities that improve advisor workflows and increase digital and paperless adoption.
- Influence priorities and alignment through strong analytical thinking, clarity, and communication—without formal authority.
What you have
What you’re good at:
- Interpreting data and details and quickly identifying the insights that matter most.
- Using reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) to explore data, validate insights, and support clear executive reporting.
- Synthesizing multiple inputs into clear themes and practical recommendations.
- Communicating insights in a straightforward, executive-friendly way (slides, summaries, dashboards).
- Asking good questions and digging into the details to understand root causes.
- Working effectively across teams and balancing different perspectives.
- Staying organized and focused while working through ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Facilitating cross-functional meetings and working sessions to drive efficient execution, minimize risk, creative problem solving, and effective decision-making across partner teams and with team leaders
- A bias for action and the ability to overcome obstacles and successfully serve multiple constituents
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years in roles focused on data analysis, insights, strategy, program management, or business analysis, preferably in complex, matrixed organizations
- Experience with Tableau or other similar reporting tools
- Analytical mindset with experience in data strategy, report development, or business analytics
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of quantitative and qualitative data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Strong track record of executive communication, including ownership of leadership reporting and presentations.
- Experience working cross-functionally with service organizations, digital teams, product, or technology partners.
- Background supporting or driving adoption, change, process improvement, or workflow optimization efforts.
- High level of comfort operating in ambiguity; self-directed, curious, and persistent in getting to the right answer.
- Strong analytical skills paired with excellent storytelling and communication abilities.
- Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel; experience building concise, decision-oriented materials.
