Senior Manager, Data & Analytics
Your Opportunity
Schwab remains committed to providing increased visibility to career growth opportunities and job requirements. This posting announcement is part of increased transparency and while all qualified applicants will be reviewed and considered, this organization has a preferred candidate identified for this role.
The Senior Manager, Data & Analytics is a senior individual contributor on the D&I Insights team responsible for building and sustaining high-impact reporting, analytics, and insight storytelling that informs strategy and drives measurable outcomes. This role partners with stakeholders across the firm to define reporting needs, ensure data quality and governance, and deliver scalable dashboards, metrics, and automated reporting solutions. The role also helps identify and operationalize AI and automation tools to improve how the D&I function produces insights and supports decision-making.
This position does not have direct people management responsibilities, but operates with significant autonomy and influence, leading work through strong partnership, consultative engagement, and program ownership.
What you’ll do:
- Own the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of D&I reporting, dashboards, and executive-ready insights, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
- Translate complex D&I and workforce data into clear, compelling narratives that inform strategy, decision-making, and accountability.
- Partner closely with stakeholders across CVM, Risk, Finance, Technology, and Data teams to define requirements, prioritize work, and align on metrics and definitions.
- Lead the development and automation of core D&I metrics and scorecards, reducing manual effort and improving timeliness and scalability.
- Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and automation tools (e.g., analytics platforms, copilots, workflow automation) to accelerate insight generation, enhance self-service, and improve reporting efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to D&I and CVM leadership by interpreting trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending data-informed actions.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outcomes, clear communication, and strong follow-through.
- Continuously assess and improve reporting processes, tools, and methodologies to increase impact and stakeholder value.
What you have
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, or business intelligence, operating at a senior individual contributor level.
- Demonstrated expertise in building dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting, with the ability to tell a clear story behind the data.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, modeling, and executive-ready presentations.
- Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders across complex, cross-functional environments without direct authority.
- Experience improving data quality, governance, and controls, preferably in a regulated or highly matrixed organization.
- Hands-on experience with automation and/or AI-enabled tools (e.g., workflow automation, analytics automation, copilots), with a focus on practical, responsible application.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical rigor, attention to detail, and comfort working with sensitive data.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and operate with urgency and accountability.
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to support reliable reporting and analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred: Advanced or technical degree (e.g., Master’s, PhD, or MBA) in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
