Charles Schwab Client, Offer & Securities Platform and Data Management is responsible for delivering innovative, best-in-class data and infrastructure solutions for client account and trading capabilities. Transformation is at the forefront of our business, and Transformation is more than a moment of change—it’s a sustained commitment to evolving how we think, operate, and deliver impact. To support our ongoing vision for Transformational Change, we are introducing a new product management function for the Retirements Distributions Platform, which is a new platform that will be a key participant in the upcoming Retirements Distribution Transformation. The focus will be to enhance both our client’s and operation partner’s experiences.
The Senior Product Manager will play a key role in the strategy, design, development and execution of Retirement Distribution Transformation. This role will partner across the organization to design, deliver and continuously enhance a comprehensive experience for Retirement Distributions.
This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration, influencing skills and the ability to navigate a dynamic regulatory and market environment. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in retirement with strategic vision and operational excellence.
Brief Description of the Role:
The role of the Product Manager is a pivotal one that is expected to be aware of clients’ needs and the fundamentals of software solutions. You will be responsible for prioritizing a multitude of requests, which regularly exceed our development capacity. You will participate in design conversations and maintain documentation for future reference. You will also be responsible for communicating status on multiple workstreams to stakeholders. Experience in steering design conversations and translating strategic vision into actionable platform requirements is vital, as you will be responsible for aligning cross-functional teams around the platform’s design objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Partner with the Portfolio Project Management Office and coordinate across horizontal and vertical tracks to drive a timely delivery
- Influence experience design: Shape the operational and end-client interactions with retirement distributions, creating intuitive and compliant solutions
- Drive performance and insights: Establish key metrics, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership for decision-making
- Serve as subject matter expert: Act as an internal authority on Retirement Distributions
What you have
Required:
- 5+ years of experience as a product owner
- Experience in performing independent research of complex business and technology processes
- Experience designing a new platform with the aim of proposing platform level requirements
- Familiarity with platform architecture or technical design principles
Preferred
- Prior experience using Jira and Confluence
- Proficient in PowerPoint
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
