Corporate Vendor Management (CVM) at Charles Schwab & Co. is responsible for implementing a firm-wide, end-to-end vendor relationship management process to maximize vendor performance and value. CVM provides strategic sourcing support; identifies, mitigates, monitors, and manages vendor risk; and assists Schwab in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements. The CVM organization is currently seeking to support the transformation of Sourcing through technology enablement, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The role contributes to the development and execution of a forward‑looking technology strategy that aligns Category Management practices with industry standards and Schwab initiatives, helping position the function as a strategic and innovative business partner.
The ideal candidate is responsible for supporting initiatives geared towards ensuring the tools, systems, and technologies used by the Sourcing team are optimized, scalable, and aligned to business needs. This includes partnering with stakeholders across CVM, Risk, Legal, Technology, and the business to improve workflows, enhance user experience, and support the efficient execution of sourcing processes.
The role brings a strong understanding of Sourcing processes, paired with a solid aptitude for technology and systems. The Manager is comfortable working at the intersection of business and technology, translating requirements into practical solutions, driving continuous improvement, and supporting change across a complex, cross‑functional environment.
What you will do:
Automation Strategy:
- Identify opportunities for automation (e.g., RPA, AI, smart workflows) across the vendor lifecycle.
Tool Implementation & Support:
- Partner with business and technical teams to support platform deployment and configuration (e.g., CLM, spend analytics, automated RFx), including drafting business requirements, participating in testing, and ensuring alignment with existing systems and processes.
Data Architecture & Governance:
- Partner with data and technology teams to understand, support, and enhance data models, taxonomies, and governance practices that enable consistent vendor data across systems.
- Actively participate in discussions about future technology platforms and capabilities.
Reporting & Insights:
- Partner with reporting and analytics teams to understand, support, and enhance insights into vendor performance, category spend, and operational efficiency.
- Actively participate in discussions about future technology platforms and capabilities.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with sourcing technology providers and ensure tools are both delivering value and evolving with business needs.
Training & Enablement:
- Support user onboarding and training for new tools and automation solutions, driving adoption and proficiency.
Please note: this position is Monday-Friday during standard business hours with a hybrid work model (4 days in office, 1 day working from home). It is only available in the locations listed. Candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate on their own to the listed location.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 4+ years of experience with sourcing, contracting, and vendor management processes
- 4+ years of experience working with e-sourcing, contract management, spend analytics, and related technology solutions
- Demonstrate interest in learning and applying new technologies and capabilities to improve efficiency and evolve how Sourcing operates
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, concise recommendations that support decision‑making and forward progress
- Proven experience collaborating effectively across cross‑functional teams and stakeholder groups
- Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive, growth‑oriented approach to identifying and addressing issues
- Strong research and analytical skills to support informed recommendations and continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently, with strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Comfortable partnering with and supporting stakeholders across the CVM organization
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and willingness to take initiative
