AS Margin Services functions as a subject matter resource to support and guide the Advisor Services business by mitigating risk and keeping compliance with industry regulations, while aligning to corporate goals and delivering superior service to advisors and their clients.

We are seeking an experienced Margin Services representative to perform a hybrid role focused on managing the risk associated with the recent expansion of investment advisors deployment of long/short, tax-loss harvesting strategies for their clients, alongside standard daily margin operations and support of risk management activities, all while delivering a high standard of service to internal partners and advisors. The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of long/short strategies, portfolio margin, and client relationship management. This role handles overseeing complex margin-related processes, effective team collaboration in a demanding environment, and ensuring account trading aligns with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and risk tolerances.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in margin services, brokerage operations, risk management, or related financial services environment.
  • Series 7 & 63 licenses needed for this job level 57-Manager role.
  • Prior experience working with margins and registered investment advisory (RIA) firms is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of margin principles and risk-based account monitoring.
  • Working knowledge of long/short strategies, portfolio margin, margin rules and formulas, and complex trading activity involving stock, option, and mutual fund trading.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of balance, position, and transaction systems.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience using operational tools and systems such as Salesforce and other workflow or risk platforms to manage service, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Able to apply strong analytical skills to examine available information and provide sensible guidance/solutions to problems.
  • Candidates must be flexible and comfortable with changing work duties.
  • Strong organizational skills, diligence, and ability to multitask in a quickly changing environment are critical.
  • Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients, financial advisors, and internal business partners in complex or sensitive situations.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and an ability to deliver complex information while keeping a positive client experience.
  • Work well in a small collaborative team environment with a cheerful outlook, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
