Manager, Learning Program Management (IC)
Your Opportunity
At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.
We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location.
The Sales Learning & Coaching team is accountable for developing and coaching Schwab’s sales professionals. We build the learning programs, onboarding events, and resources across Schwab’s various sales channels. We build shared content once at scale, then tailor the rest to each channel’s roles and relationships.
As Manager, Learning Program Management, you will help run the programs behind that work. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes satisfaction in making complicated things run smoothly and would rather prevent a problem than escalate one.
What you’ll do:
- Program Support: Plan and execute program activities end to end, keeping schedules, trackers, and documentation current and anticipating what a program needs before it becomes urgent.
- Content and Resources: Review the materials a program runs on, reusing what exists where it fits. Keep published resources current and easy to navigate.
- Events and Cohorts: Support the behind-the-scenes work that makes onboarding, learning cohorts, and learning sessions run, partnering with the facilitators and speakers who lead them.
- Communications: Draft and coordinate the communications that reach participants and the field, so people get timely and accurate information.
- Program Administration: Maintain participant records, program platforms, and resource sites, keeping data accurate across the systems programs depend on.
- Measurement and Feedback: Track participation and engagement, administer surveys, and turn what you collect into a clear picture that can be acted on.
What Success Looks Like:
- Programs land well. Milestones, sessions, and events come together cleanly, and time spent on a program goes toward improving it rather than chasing logistics.
- The work scales. What used to slow programs down is handled reliably, so the team supports more without proportionally more effort.
- Every audience gets a consistent experience. Materials, communications, and resources are clear, current, and dependable, whichever program they come from and whichever channel they serve.
- Resources are trusted and used. Program sites, playbooks, and content become go-to assets, with strong usage and positive feedback on their usefulness.
- Your scope grows. You take on more over time, whether that means broader responsibility, stretch assignments, or new work as the portfolio evolves.
What you have
The skills you bring:
Project Management: Plans and coordinates several program timelines at once, from onboarding and cohorts to learning sessions and events. Sequences competing deadlines, keeps logistics on track, and advances work independently so milestones and sessions come together cleanly.
Attention to Detail: Catches errors in dates, rosters, links, and materials before they reach participants or the field. Keeps records and published resources accurate and follows every open item through to completion, so each audience gets a dependable experience.
Communication: Writes clear, concise communications for participants, facilitators, speakers, and field leaders, adapting one message for different audiences and sales channels. Keeps partners informed as plans change, so no one is surprised.
Process Improvement: Spots recurring friction in how programs run, such as manual steps, duplicate trackers, or outdated materials, and replaces it with repeatable tools like templates, checklists, process maps, and playbooks, so each cohort takes less effort than the last.
Stakeholder Management: Moves work forward with facilitators, speakers, partner teams, and field leaders who do not report to them by clarifying requests, setting expectations, and working through competing priorities, escalating only when needed.
Analytics & Reporting: Tracks participation, engagement, and survey feedback across programs, checks the data for accuracy, and turns it into a short, clear summary of what to keep, fix, or stop.
