Manager, CS&S Trader Electronic Communications – Trader API

As champions of investors, we are looking for other advocates to join our team as a Manager, Trader ECG (IC) – Trader API where you will work with Schwab and third-party API users as the subject-matter expert in equities, foreign exchange, derivatives (options & futures) as well as the Schwab Trader API. What you have
Required qualifications:
- Series 7, 63, and 3 licenses
- We will consider candidates with 5+ years of experience with derivatives products, API/coding, or other relevant experience in lieu of certifications. Licensure will be done as a condition of employment
- Passion for trading, market, and systems knowledge; ability to proactively discuss complex trading, API specific topics, and appropriate solutions with clients
- Provide expert trader API support, specializing in advanced trading strategies, API utilization, and various connected Schwab trading platforms
- Exceptional written communication skills that provide a high level of accuracy, clarity, and education; display empathy, depth of market and API knowledge; as well as incorporate positive language
- Proven expertise in deescalating upset clients, effectively turning challenging situations into opportunities for resolution and building positive client relationships within a dynamic API support team
- Educate clients around margin rules and calculations on equity, complex option positions, and risk management
- Educate clients around the Schwab Trader API enrollment, support, processes and procedures to ensure proper use of the Schwab Trader API for qualified clients
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource and consultant to various Trader and CS&S teams, addressing API-related matters, resolving training issues, and providing single-point contact for clients
- Be a department mentor and point of contact for Trader Service professionals to help educate and upskill in Schwab API tools and services
- Regularly collaborate with Trader Product API partners to provide client feedback, improve the Trader API experience and help support the growth and expansion of the Trader API
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to effectively mitigate risk and adhere to trading accuracy while adhering to policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Collaborative and relationship-focused work style with demonstrated success in a team environment
- Practical time management and communication skills, positive demeanor, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong work ethic with a high integrity
- Ability to research independently, troubleshoot, and solve problems when there are limited Schwab-owned resources available
Preferred qualifications:
- Series 34 and 9/10 (or 24/4 equivalent)
- 3 years of experience in client services, financial services or brokerage services, preferably trading & interacting with clients in a proactive and consultative manner
- Experience in app development, design, coding and programming languages
