The Director of Offer Management for Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA) is a people leader role, responsible for the Wealth Advisor (WA) experience, the client and digital experience, practice design, segmentation, practice standards, advisor and client workflows, and tool design - all in support of operational excellence, making the offer more compelling to our clients, and ultimately driving growth of the business. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, business analysis, concept design, and implementation of new offer enhancements to Schwab Wealth Advisory. In this role, you will lead a team accountable for delivering a consistent, scalable wealth management experience across people, process, and technology. We’re seeking an experienced offer management leader with a proven track record building and improving wealth management offers and capabilities, who is highly resourceful, and can influence the enterprise and execute with discipline.
Schwab’s Wealth and Advice Solutions business line develops and delivers holistic wealth management solutions, including Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA), Schwab Advisor Network (SAN), the Wealth Strategies Group (WSG), and other full-service offerings. As the leader of the Offer Management team for SWA, you will partner closely across Business, Product, Technology, and Legal/Compliance to bring the offer to life and improve it over time.
The Director will report to the Managing Director of Schwab Wealth Advisory’s Offer Management and will partner with enterprise business vertical leads to design and deliver a comprehensive, elegant discretionary offer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Schwab Wealth Advisory, aligned to firm-wide priorities
- Lead cross-functional delivery and implement enhancements to the SWA offer, in partnership with Product, Legal/Compliance, and field stakeholders
- Drive business case development, prioritization, and investment recommendations for new and enhanced capabilities
- Define and develop best-in-class practices to help reps effectively manage their practices
- Establish and monitor success metrics, adoption, and outcomes to ensure realized business value
- Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership, translating strategy into actionable product direction
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing offer management team
- Data driven decision making to inform prioritization and monitor business impact
What you have
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years with a wealth management firm or RIA focused on rep experience, digital experience, and operational workflows
- Must currently be at Director level with 5+ years of proven people leader experience
- Proven experience crafting and delivering strategic analyses, competitive intelligence, and offer design recommendations to a senior executive audience (MDs+), to drive prioritization decisions
- Familiarity with client relationship management tools and processes
- Experience in a client facing role or familiarity with representing voice of the field in product prioritization
- Technical background with a keen understanding of broader business needs and how they elegantly integrate
- Leadership and relationship-building skills, including ability to influence and build consensus across multiple stakeholders and enterprises
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively present to all levels of the organization, including senior management
- Ability to make significant progress with minimal direction and to make decisions, pivot, and structure pathways forward in the face of ambiguity
- Proven ability to effectively build relationships, establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence
- Develops talent and fosters accountability and ownership
Preferred:
- MBA preferred
- Proven experience leading strategy and/or management consulting supporting a wealth management business or RIA firm
- Experience in determining how to re-define and evolve delivery processes and integrate tools to automate and standardize workflows
- Demonstrated success leading product teams through scaled adoption and change management
