The Bank Sales team is seeking a high-potential Director, Business Development (BDO) who will serve as the Bank's subject matter authority and strategic partner to the Wealth Services organization. The BDO is responsible for driving bank lending growth through deeper engagement with Wealth Consultants, Wealth Advisors, and Wealth leadership teams, helping them identify, position, and deliver the full value of Schwab Bank lending solutions to high-net-worth and affluent clients.
This role will focus exclusively on the Wealth Services channel, partnering closely with field leaders and client-facing professionals to integrate banking into broader client planning conversations. Success requires a strong ability to influence, educate, and drive business development activity while delivering an exceptional client and partner experience.
This position is based in Westlake, TX.

Required Qualifications
•Active Series 7 and 63/66 licensing required
•5+ years of relationship management, business development, or sales experience supporting financial professionals and driving lending growth
•Demonstrated ability to influence others, deliver sales coaching, and create deeper integration of banking solutions within client relationships
•Proven ability to build strong partnerships with Wealth Services leaders and advisors to support business development and client acquisition efforts
•In-depth knowledge of asset-based lending and home lending solutions, with a focus on affluent and high-net-worth client segments
•Ability to identify and develop lending opportunities through consultative engagement, strategic questioning, and thought partnership
•Strong analytical skills, including the ability to anticipate business challenges, identify opportunities, and translate observations into actionable recommendations
•Strong internal and external client focus, including the ability to think from the client perspective and enhance the overall client experience
•High confidence level in public speaking, group facilitation, and partner engagement
•Exceptional communication, relationship management, and executive presence skills
•Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority and navigate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups
Preferred Qualifications
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining responsiveness and follow-through
•Bachelor's degree preferred
•Current NMLS registration preferred
