Charles Schwab is seeking an experienced data and analytics leader to serve as Director, Acquisition Marketing Analytics. This role is responsible for delivering highimpact analytic insights that drive Schwabs client acquisition strategy and advise marketing investment decisions, as well as build the Marketing Analytics automation framework and support BI development.

This role will act as an internal strategy consultant to Marketing and enterprise partners, while leading a highperforming analytics team across Acquisition Marketing Analytics, Media & Marketing Mix Model (MMM) Analytics, and BI Production Support. This role leads a multidisciplinary analytics team spanning acquisitionmarketing performance measurement, media analytics, customer insights, business intelligence delivery, and analytics engineering. You will act as a strategic advisor to executive Marketing, Finance, Retail, Technology, Data, and Product leaders, translating complex data into clear recommendations that drive growth, efficiency, and customer engagement. You will own the engineering and maintenance of an analytic automation framework and oversee production support for the Marketing Insights, Planning, and Analytics organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Acquisition Marketing Analytics Strategy and Leadership

  • Deliver end-to-end, highimpact analytic insights and analyses into marketing performance, customer behavior, and growth drivers and clearly communicate methodologies and results in a concise, easy-to-understand fashion to drive business decisions and inform strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive and senior Marketing, Strategy, and enterprise leaders on leveraging data and analytics to inform and advise acquisition strategy and operations, shaping decisions through data‑driven recommendations and scenario analysis.
  • Provide proactive recommendations and develop an analytics roadmap in close coordination with Marketing, Retail, Finance, Workplace Services, Trading Services, and Schwab Data partners to set and prioritize longer-term goals.
  • Define and oversee the acquisition marketing measurement framework and reporting across Schwab, ensuring metric consistency and executive alignment.
  • Develop new metrics and integrate new data sources to deepen acquisition and funding analytics capabilities.

Marketing Mix Model & Media Analytics Strategy and Leadership

  • Partner with data science and modeling teams to guide the development, enhancement, and application of attribution, incrementality, and marketing mix models.
  • Lead and shape the marketing analytics and modeling ecosystem to define Marketing’s contribution to enterprise outcomes and attribution by aligning with Retail, Finance, and Schwab Data organizations.
  • Translate model outputs into actionable guidance for budget allocation, optimization, and trade‑off decisions.
  • Oversee Media Analytics and Marketing Mix Model reporting and deepdive analyses across marketing, promotions, and paid media channels to Influence executive decision making through compelling storytelling, clear framing of tradeoffs, and articulation of business impact.
  • Serve as a thought partner to Marketing and Finance to optimize annual and in-year media budgets.
  • Define, understand, and test opportunities and levers to improve Marketing attribution models, and drive roadmaps through your insights and recommendations.

BI Production Support & Analytics Automation

  • Oversee marketing business intelligence, analytics delivery, and production support, ensuring reliability, scalability, and usability of reporting, dashboards, and data assets.
  • Establish and scale an automation and modernization strategy for analytics workflows and data products.
  • Collaborate with product, business, and engineering partners to gather requirements, hypotheses, identify success metrics, and discuss the feasibility of analyses in current and future states.
  • Create and govern a curated data layer of governed, reusable datasets to enable reuse of vetted, canonical datasets across Marketing and provide consistent selfservice analytics across Marketing.
  • Consult on data management, data consumption, data governance, business intelligence and data product ownership processes and their maturity.

People & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead and develop a diverse team of data practitioners, including data analysts, analytics engineers, and data engineers, to support Marketing analytics and automation.
  • Hire, onboard, coach, and develop team members into subjectmatter experts, promoting crosstraining and resiliency.
  • Grow analytics expertise around you, upskilling your team, engineers, and others to increase overall team impact.
  • Set priorities, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and evolve team workflows to balance planned work, adhoc executive requests, and urgent leadership needs by providing matrix leadership across Marketing, enterprise, strategy, finance, data, and technology partners to deliver complex, crossenterprise initiatives.

What you have


To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a quantitative or businessrelated field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, or strategy roles delivering business value, with significant leadership experience.
  • Experience with Marketing Mix Models and incrementality testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver executivelevel insights from complex behavioral, transactional, and financial data.
  • Strong expertise in analytics consulting, business intelligence, and data product ownership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and build crossenterprise consensus.
  • Excellent proficiency in working with data. SQL experience and familiarity with data warehouse structures and concepts; including structured and semi-structured data.
  • Experience with the development and implementation of projects involving multiple sophisticated data sets.
  • Experience with analyzing data and information, and applying problem-solving skills to deliver data enablement artifacts including tips and tricks, best practices, standards, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or another quantitative field.
  • Financial services or brokerage industry experience.
  • Experience partnering with data science, media, and marketing technology teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams through data platform modernization, automation, or federation initiatives.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
