Charles Schwab's Digital Retail Digital Payments and Move Money team builds key experiences for clients and strives to continue to make it easier for clients to get funds where they want. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager (individual contributor) to support across our Transfer & Pay/Move Money functions, helping us craft the future money movement at Schwab. We help our clients and advisors plan for and build towards their financial goals, and they are passionate about the tools and experiences we provide.

This role will be responsible for managing assigned product(s) on the Digital Payments & Move Money (DPMM) Product team across both web and mobile channels. Ongoing activities with scrum teams (bug management, development of acceptance criteria and user stories, understanding cross functional dependencies) and internal Digital processes. This role will also assist in supporting product discovery, cross team data integration and metrics, cross product/channel architecture analysis, and initiatives that impact across the DPMM Product team to support Digital processes and standards.

This role provides an opportunity to join a mature team of Product Managers in a strong team culture of support and development. You will manage Product(s) on multiple digital channels but also support the broader Product team, providing the exposure to learn not only those assigned digital experiences but also the broader landscape of Transfer & Pay Retail experiences.

What you are good at:

  • Product Management – Experience managing digital products and/or enterprise capabilities in an Agile delivery environment. Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to understand and support adoption across the immediate Product team.
  • Product Discovery – Drive analysis and insights with external and internal resources to understand a problem and develop experiences through research and iterative design to develop solutions to meet and exceed client and internal stakeholder expectations
  • Product Development Tools – Experience utilizing multiple different applications in support of the Product and Software development lifecycle including, but not limited to Jira, Confluence, Rally, and GitHub. A desire to utilize AI tools to accelerate and simplify internal processes.
  • Multi-Channel Development – Ability to develop requirements and work with design and development teams across web (Schwab.com) and mobile app channels
  • Cross Functional Stakeholder Management Build partnerships across teams in product, design, technology, operations, compliance, risk, and client facing organizations to foster collaborative problem solving and alignment of digital solutions to solve client problems and address internal efficiency opportunities.
  • Versatile Contributor – Ability to manage multiple tasks and take direction from one or more high performing Product Managers, supporting activities across Digital experiences. Deliver on changing needs of the team and drive results across internal processes and project level initiatives.
  • Documentation – Advanced experience documenting product requirements and processes for technology and product teams.
  • Technical Acumen – ability to understand technical architecture specifically as it relates to digital experience changes and work confidently with architects and development teams.

What you have


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 5+ years of Product Management and/or Business Analyst experience with demonstrated ability to support product discovery and execute product strategies to deliver high-priority initiatives
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story
  • Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team within an interactive process and an Agile development methodology
  • Effective relationship builder – ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as various personality types
  • Strong Process Management discipline with a keen understanding of how to implement process practices.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post graduate degree
  • Financial services industry experience
  • A passion for digital innovation and commitment to superb client experiences

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
