DAFgiving360™ is an independent nonprofit organization created to increase charitable giving in the U.S. We offer a donor-advised fund program and related philanthropic tools and guidance that empower donors to incorporate charitable planning into their everyday lives and make a bigger difference in the world. Since our founding in 1999 as an 501(c)(3) public charity, DAFgiving360 donors have recommended over $44 billion in grants to more than 280,000 charities.
DAFgiving360 has entered into a services agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for administrative and other services, including human resources. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and will be subject to its policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to DAFgiving360 for day-to-day activities.
Under the guidance of the Data Governance Lead, this role is responsible for supporting the data governance strategy and framework across DAFgiving360. This role ensures that data is accurate, accessible, consistent, and protected. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data technologies and a passion for fostering a culture of data-driven excellence. The Data Governance Analyst (individual contributor) will collaborate closely with business and technology partners to implement data policies, standards, and best practices:
- Support the evolution and implementation of DAFgiving360’s data governance framework
- Support data owners and stewards in the execution of their data management responsibilities to promote accountability
- Support the monitoring and reporting of data quality metrics, and support initiatives to improve data quality
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in data governance processes, tools, and methodologies
- Promote data governance awareness and best practices across the organization
- Drive data governance adoption through effective communication, training, and change management initiatives
- Provide subject matter expertise on data-related topics for project teams, ensuring that data standards are upheld across initiatives

- Strong focus on time management: prioritizes work to complete challenging tasks and goals in a timely manner
- Versatility and learning agility: you are willing and able to adapt and support partners in different business functions across DAFgiving360
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data strategy, data analytics, data governance, and/or data management
- Documented experience in leading business process and behavior change management
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and frameworks
- Demonstratable knowledge around different information asset types and their interconnectedness (Data, Datasets, Metrics, Reports, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to deal with complex topics at more senior levels across the business
- Documented experience using tools and techniques such as complex spreadsheet formulas, reporting tools like Tableau, database queries, and/or on-line collaboration tools (SharePoint, Confluence, Jira)
Preferred Qualifications:
- DAFgiving360 experience
- Financial services experience
- An explorer mindset: someone who proactively ventures into unfamiliar areas in search of information
- Leadership potential: an individual contributor with the ability to motivate fellow employees towards a common goal, gauge priorities and manage resources
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
