DAFgiving360 has entered into a services agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for administrative and other services, including human resources. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and will be subject to its policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to DAFgiving360 for day-to-day activities.
Our opportunity:
DAFgiving360’s Service & Operations team is responsible for the delivery of all service channels as well as handling all operational processes on behalf of clients, advisors, charities, and partners for DAFgiving360. The Shared Services Team (SST) is comprised of three subset teams: Business Quality, Estates and Charity Services.
This specific role is for a position on the Estates subset team. The Estates Team performs estate work ensuring accurate handling of sensitive donor cases related to succession planning and deferred gifts. The Estates Team works closely with Donor Services, Donor Operations, Complex Strategies Group, and Charitable Operations.
Qualified candidates will be comfortable representing DAFgiving360 during sensitive times in people’s lives, working with clients, financial advisors, and colleagues to discuss intricacies of succession enactment, and financial institutions to receive bequeathed assets. In addition to the daily case load, Shared Services Team members are expected to aid on DAFgiving360’s inbound phone line when volumes dictate.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate and execute all aspects of succession enactment, including, but not limited to, legacy planning, incapacitated donors, and asset intake.
- Ability to work through complex situations to achieve the desired outcome, which can include receiving additional assets with limited information and creative problem solving to maintain the donor’s intent while abiding by DAFgiving360 policies and IRS regulations.
- Provide top quality customer service to clients and advisors with all interactions.
- Provide timely, articulate, and thorough responses, both internally and externally.
- Critically analyze current procedures to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Support the Grants and Donor Services teams by processing grant recommendations and answering incoming phone calls as volumes dictate.
What you have
- DAFgiving360 experience highly preferred
- BA/BS degree preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when dealing with highly emotional situations.
- Superior customer service skills, particularly the ability to communicate with affluent clients and their investment advisors.
- Well-developed time management skills with the ability to organize, manage and juggle competing priorities.
- Highly adaptive, change-positive personality capable of working effectively within a team environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours/overtime during the year-end peak season (mid- November to January).
