Schwab Asset Management (SAM) is the asset management arm of the Charles Schwab Corporation. The Portfolio Analytics team, which resides within SAM Portfolio Construction Solutions (PCS), creates and delivers customized client reporting and analyses to internal partners for use with their clients and prospects in support of sales activities across multiple distribution channels (e.g., Retail, UHNW, RIAs). This is an individual contributor role that focuses on producing analytics reports for clients and prospects interested in Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA).
What you are good at:
- Create customized, client-facing portfolio analysis reports, with emphasis on SWA prospect/proposal generation needs, using third-party software, such as Morningstar Direct
- Provide best-in-class service in a fast-paced environment to meet the needs of our internal and external clients with clear communication to partners
- Manage multiple requests simultaneously, being able to prioritize and deliver requests in a stated timeframe
- Provide input on ways to increase efficiency of existing processes for SWA-specific portfolio analytics deliverables.
- Help drive success of the SWA channel through analytics and related support needs in partnership with the PCS team and SCFR
What you have
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Understand portfolio construction concepts, asset allocation, and investment metrics
- Knowledge of ETFs, mutual funds and separately managed accounts and how they can be used within a client portfolio
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to effectively interact with internal sales and field partners
- Detail oriented and can deliver timely, accurate work, with ability to complete tasks when presented with incomplete or ambiguous instructions in a fast-moving work environment
- 2 years Financial Services experience, preferably with investment consultations, investment sales or sales support, product management, and/or investment performance analysis
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with investment-related research and reporting software (e.g., Morningstar Direct)
- Completion or progress toward a professional designation (e.g., CIMA, CAIA, CFA)
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
