This posting announcement is part of increased transparency and while all qualified applicants will be reviewed and considered, this organization has a preferred candidate identified for this role.

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

Client Experience & Risk (CX&R) helps client-facing teams build trusted relationships, deliver Schwab’s wealth management value proposition, and thoughtfully manage firm risk. Within CX&R, the Business Accommodation Team (BAT) supports clients’ unique and complex needs to help win and retain assets.

The Sr. Team Manager, Retail Proposal Service, will lead daily delivery while shaping the future of the proposal program. This leader will develop an engaged team, own and advance the Self-Serve Proposal (SCMP) tool, expand the service into new segments and opportunities, and use technology and AI to improve quality, adoption, and scale.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team that creates high-quality proposals and sales presentations for complex client and prospect opportunities.
  • Balance workflow, capacity, service expectations, quality, and strategic priorities across Retail Proposal Service.
  • Own SCMP strategy and execution, including content, governance, user experience, adoption, maintenance, and the roadmap for future enhancements.
  • Expand Proposal Services into new client segments and growth opportunities across the firm.
  • Partner with field and cross-functional teams, including Legal and Compliance, to understand client needs, develop compelling storylines, and maintain accurate, appropriately reviewed content.
  • Build and maintain strong knowledge of Schwab’s investor segments, products, services, and capabilities so the team can connect each opportunity to the most relevant solutions.
  • Establish and reinforce quality standards for proposal content, design, positioning, accuracy, and required review and approval.
  • Build awareness of self-serve, custom, and consultative proposal support through a clear field communication and engagement strategy.
  • Use adoption, service, and business-impact insights to identify trends, prioritize improvements, and demonstrate the program’s value.
  • Stay ahead of emerging capabilities, products, and market developments by partnering with key stakeholders to build and launch timely proposal resources as new offerings come to market.
  • Maintain and improve team processes, tools, templates, and content resources in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to use technology and AI to reduce manual work, improve the proposal experience, strengthen quality, and create scale.
  • Advance BAT’s growth, brilliant basics, scale and efficiency, and people objectives through continuous improvement and team development.
  • Create a culture of curiosity, ownership, collaboration, and shared purpose where team members understand how their work helps Schwab win and deepen client relationships.
