We are seeking a Managing Director to lead Strategy & Transformation for Operational Services. In this role, you will drive enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, partner with senior leaders across Schwab, and ensure alignment between strategy, execution, and business outcomes. As a member of the Operational Services Senior Leadership Team, you will serve as a key liaison to enterprise strategy partners and provide direct support to the Head of Operational Services.
This role has leadership accountability for critical cross-functional capabilities, including Strategy & Planning, Employee Experience, Service & Process Design, and Strategic Planning Management teams - ensuring consistent alignment, clarity, and engagement across a large, complex organization.
What you have
Required qualifications:
- Extensive experience (10+ years) leading strategy, transformation, or operations within financial services or a similarly complex environment
- Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes
- Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders across functions
- Experience structuring and delivering complex strategy work in highly ambiguous environments
- Deep expertise in strategic planning, operational execution, and organizational effectiveness
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Experience leading transformation efforts across people, process, data, and technology
- Ability to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders and maintain focus on high-priority initiatives
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience supporting executive-level communications including Board or Executive Council materials
- Background in employee experience, workforce strategy, or organizational design
- Experience leading data strategy, process excellence, or service design initiatives
- Demonstrated success building and scaling innovation programs or continuous improvement practices
- Advanced degree in business or a related field is a plus
