Director, Retail Field Enablement

The Field Operations team is responsible for designing and implementing strategies, programs and technologies that drive asset and solutions growth through our Retail sales and service channels.  Field Operations supports the evolution of our rep experiences within our service teams and client relationship models, including mass affluent, trader, high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client segments.  The team provides support and insight to deliver best practices, scale, and enhanced sales and service effectiveness across all channels.

The Head of Retail Field Enablement reports to the Managing Director Field Operations and is a strategic and execution-focused leader responsible for ensuring Retail field professionals are prepared, informed, and equipped to successfully deliver client outcomes. This role translates enterprise priorities and initiatives into clear, actionable field readiness strategies that drive adoption, productivity, and an improved client and rep experience.

This leader serves as a critical bridge across product, platforms, Sales and Service leadership—ensuring business investments are delivered to the field in a way that is simple, coordinated, and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Readiness & Change Leadership
    • Own end-to-end field readiness strategies for high-impact Retail initiatives, ensuring professionals are prepared to adopt change effectively
    • Lead activation planning, including readiness, adoption, and sustainment strategies across the field
    • Ensure initiatives are translated into clear, role-specific impacts that help professionals serve clients and grow relationships  
  • Field Experience & Enablement Strategy
    • Design and continuously evolve the Retail field enablement model to improve productivity, client outcomes, and rep experience
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to shape initiative design with a focus on field impact and usability  
    • Ensure alignment across channels and segments to deliver a consistent, differentiated client experience
  • Communications & Knowledge Ecosystem
    • Oversee the Retail field communication strategy, ensuring clarity, consistency, and effective message delivery across channels (e.g., retail news, leader communications, knowledge platforms)
    • Ensure knowledge is accessible, concise, and actionable through centralized platforms (e.g., Knowledge Center)
    • Optimize communication volume, timing, and format to reduce noise and protect field capacity
  • Voice of the Field & Continuous Improvement
    • Establish feedback loops to capture insights and continuously improve enablement effectiveness
    • Drive a client-centric, field-informed culture across partners and stakeholders
  • Operational Excellence & Scale
    • Lead intake, prioritization, and capacity planning across enablement demand (e.g., “front door” model) to optimize throughput and impact
    • Standardize processes, tools, and templates to increase efficiency and speed-to-market
    • Leverage data, reporting, and emerging technologies (including AI) to improve decision-making, transparency, and scalability
  • Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence
    • Serve as the primary interface between field leaders, product teams, and enterprise partners
    • Influence senior leadership on trade-offs that balance business priorities with field capacity and client experience
    • Ensure cohesive delivery across Field Operations, Sales, Service Client Experience, and platform and product teams
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development
    • Lead and develop a high-performing organization across change management, communications, knowledge management, and readiness
    • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous growth
    • Build capabilities that position the team as a strategic partner to the business

What you have


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years relevant experience
  • 5+ years in consulting, strategy, product management, sales operations or client experience role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial Services industry experience 
  • MBA
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a complex, dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding "soft" skills - including ability to work well with a diverse range of partners and proactive, can-do attitude.
