The Senior Network Lead Engineer is a strategic technical leadership role requiring 10-12+ years of experience designing, deploying, securing, and optimizing enterprise wireless and cellular network environments. This individual will provide technical direction across Network Services, drive operational excellence, and ensure alignment with organizational OKRs and KPIs.

As a senior member of the Corporate Network Services organization, this role serves as a critical investment in Schwab's long-term technology strategy and supports our commitment to "Seeing Through Clients' Eyes" by delivering highly available, secure, and scalable wireless infrastructure that enables business operations and exceptional client experiences.

What you have

Network Strategy, Design & Architecture
   Design and deploy scalable, highly available wireless and cellular network architectures supporting critical business applications and services.
   Develop wireless network blueprints, RF designs, topology diagrams, and capacity plans utilizing tools such as Ekahau.
   Establish technical standards and architectural direction for enterprise wireless technologies and services.
Deployment & Engineering
    Lead deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of enterprise wireless infrastructure, including access points, wireless controllers, switches, routers, and cellular solutions.
    Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, hardware, and software solutions to improve network performance, resiliency, and service delivery.
    Partner with cross-functional technology teams to integrate wireless solutions into broader enterprise initiatives.
Operational Excellence & Troubleshooting
    Provide Tier 3 technical leadership and support for complex wireless and network-related incidents.
    Lead root cause analysis and resolution of performance bottlenecks, coverage gaps, capacity constraints, and interference issues.
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on service availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Security, Risk & Compliance
    Design and implement secure wireless networking solutions utilizing industry-leading standards including WPA3, 802.1X, and RADIUS.
    Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, Internal Audit requirements, and enterprise security standards.
    Collaborate with cybersecurity and risk teams to protect the network against evolving threats and vulnerabilities.
Leadership & Mentorship
    Provide technical leadership and mentorship to CNS engineering resources, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.
    Lead complex projects, vendor engagements, technology evaluations, and infrastructure upgrade initiatives.
    Influence strategic decisions through technical expertise, innovation, and operational leadership.

▪ 10-12+ years of experience in enterprise networking with significant expertise in wireless and cellular technologies.
▪ Advanced knowledge of Wi-Fi standards, RF design, wireless security, and cellular networking technologies
▪ Proven experience designing and deploying large-scale enterprise wireless solutions.
▪ Strong troubleshooting skills across wireless, routing, switching, and network infrastructure environments.
▪ Leads initiatives to preserve the continuity of key business operations
▪ Designs advanced processes to assess and prioritize business demands and requests
▪ Establishes methods to optimize enterprise architecture alignment and drive tactical execution
▪ Demonstrated leadership experience managing complex technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.Utilizes comprehensive asset management methods to maximize value and mitigate risks
▪ Establishes methods to apply a structured risk framework across the enterprise
▪ Institutes robust methods to optimize change coordination

▪ Designs advanced processes to assess and prioritize business demands and requests

▪ Leads initiatives to establish advanced incident response methods and optimize processes
▪ Aligns security practices and comprehensive control frameworks to ensure compliance
▪ Champions efforts that optimize system reliability through advanced life cycle management techniques
