Organization / Role Description

At Schwab, the Liquidity Technology team is responsible for supporting the regulatory reporting, metrics, and analysis of the Liquidity needs of the firm. This is a critical part of the firm’s health so you will be working on essential applications that play a key part in the day-to-day compliance with Federal regulations. This includes applications that query and categorize firm-wide data, perform necessary calculations, and provide the results to various dashboards and regulatory reports filed with the Fed.

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to create, maintain, support, and improve complex technology operations for processing large amounts of data pulled from various sources, with special emphasis around continuous improvement (CI/CD) of processes by applying modern engineering principles around TDD and BDD.  You will be working with a team of talented technologists and SMEs who bring a lot of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to provide value by seeing the world “Through Clients' Eyes.”

What You Have

Key Responsibilities

Build and deliver quality solutions that enable our Liquidity Business Partner's critical Regulatory Reporting requirements. Follow established coding standards, design patterns, and architectural guidelines while delivering C# solutions.

Maintain a strong eye for quality through the entire SDLC from refining requirements through UAT and to production.

Troubleshoot any production issues that come up for a daily batch application including working across business, production support, and other development teams.

What you have


Required Qualifications

▪ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
▪ Hands on experience gained through 1-2+ years in a software development role.
▪ Experience with full stack application development technologies using C#, REST Web Services, Angular, Relational (SQL/Oracle) databases.
▪ Strong critical thinking, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
▪ The ability to communicate your ideas in a clear and concise manner.
▪ Working collaboratively with others to solve challenging problems.
▪ Follows quality standards to ensure accuracy and completeness.
▪ An understanding of Regulatory Reporting concepts like LCR, NSFR, and 2052a.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical nice-to-haves (bullet points)

▪ Experience with large data sets including data warehouses.
▪ Experience with Cloud technologies (especially PCF).
▪ Understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices.
▪ Experience with CI/CD practices.
▪ Front end development experience with Angular, Blazor, ReactJS, etc.
▪ Assists in analyzing, organizing, and validating requirements
