Our Opportunity:
Charles Schwab’s Software Development Engineers thrive in a leading-edge work culture while developing products that help Schwab customers learn, explore, and make life-impacting moves on their paths to achieving their goals. The Advisor Services Data Delivery Team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to build and support Cloud-based applications that provide critical, high-volume processing for Schwab’s Advisor clients and third parties. This position requires an individual with strong problem-solving skillswho can contribute to a highly collaborative culture and agile team environment. Our Software Development Engineers are driven to learn, grow, and continuously contribute to improving the Schwab experience and technology.
What you’ll do:
- Contributeto the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of critical, high-volume processing applications using Cloud technologies.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers,architect, and product owners to solve challenging problems.
- Develop applications using industry best practices and standards.
- Support your solutions throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
What you have

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Scienceor related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-4years professional experience in software development.
- Experience developing in Java.OtherObject-Orientedlanguagessuch asC#or C++experience is a plus.
- Experience with Spring frameworks, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Data Flow, etc.
- Experience with a relational database, SQL, and stored procedures (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Experience writing Unit Tests with high code coverage.
- Understanding of Agile development practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CI/CD practices.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies.
- Must be a self-starter who is detail oriented and focused on driving solutions to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby,orTypeScript.
- Experience using Jira or otheragile worktrackingsystem.
- Experience with cloud computing (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products, including Dataflow, Cloud Storage,BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and Terraform scripting.
- Experience in ETL and data validation for comprehensive end-to-end testing, including functional, integration, performance, and security testing
- Experience with GitHub CoPilot
- Financial industry experience
