As a Software Developer for the Cashiering Technology Management organization, you will be responsible for Design, Development, and Implementation of the solutions for several large/complex applications across Schwab's Journals, Wires, ACH, Checks and other Money Movement applications.

This position provides opportunity to work and explore cloud platforms - Azure and GCP. 

Gives an opportunity to lead and mentor the Scrum teams with best practices in software development lifecycle and make significant influence on the application architecture to adhere to Schwab enterprise standards.

What you have

  • Deep domain/functional knowledge of our Cashiering application area and the systems we have in place to support the business needs.

  • Understand the technology vision and platform modernization strategy for Cashiering and support the design and development of our PaaS ready distributed services that will be exposed via Web API and REST interface to our channel partners.

  • Interface with product owner and key stakeholders in Project Management, Business, QA and Technology Operations to ensure high quality delivery of software projects on time and budget.

  • Work closely with product owner and team members to decompose stories, design features, and prioritize tasks.

  • Utilize automated software test tools and frameworks to achieve software quality standards.

  • Provide hands-on development and mentoring as necessary for other members of the development team Identify technology risks early and establish mitigation plans.

  • Create the following artifacts for each project: Software Architecture documentation, Technical Use Cases, and Code Review Packages

What you have


Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.

  • 4+ years of C# development experience

  • 2+ years Cashiering technical environment: Visual Studio,  WCF, Web API, .NET Framework (preferred), Web Services, REST, SOAP, web services using C#.

  • 2+ years developing/managing REST and SOAP-based Web Service API(s).

  • 2+ years’ experience with distributed multi-tier applications, WMI and SQL DB.

  • 2+ years’ experience with frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate and understanding of UML (Unified Modeling Language).

Preferred:

  • Good knowledge of CI/CD tools like Bitbucket, Bamboo, Harness and GitHub.

  • Hands on experience of Kafka.

  • LINQ experience with developing PaaS ready distributed is preferred.

  • Prior experience re-writing COBOL/Mainframe applications for C# modernization will be a plus.
