Schwab remains committed to providing increased visibility to career growth opportunities and job requirements. This posting announcement is part of increased transparency and while all qualified applicants will be reviewed and considered, this organization has a preferred candidate identified for this role.

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career while helping shape the future of the investment performance reporting experiences relied upon by clients, advisors, and internal teams.

The Director, Product Management | Performance Reporting Platform will lead the strategy, governance, and ongoing evolution of Schwab’s enterprise performance reporting platform. The platform powers digital investment performance information and experiences across Schwab’s client and advisor channels, supporting a broad set of wealth, retail, and institutional use cases.

This role will lead a team of product managers and serve as a highly visible partner across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Service, and business leadership. The Director will be accountable for strengthening risk and governance practices, building trusted cross-functional relationships, and creating an engaging team environment grounded in clarity, accountability, development, and strong execution.

Success requires balancing platform strategy and delivery with disciplined risk management, thoughtful stakeholder engagement, and a leadership style that brings people together around shared outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and articulate a clear product vision and multiyear roadmap for the Performance Reporting Platform, aligning platform investments to Schwab’s broader wealth, advice, retail, and enterprise priorities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of product managers, setting clear goals and expectations, providing actionable feedback, recognizing contributions, and creating meaningful opportunities for growth.
  • Build an inclusive and engaging team culture that promotes ownership, collaboration, transparency, continuous learning, and strong connection to client and business outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain strong governance practices for platform decisions, priorities, controls, risks, issues, dependencies, and commitments.
  • Serve as a control owner where applicable and embed risk-management principles into everyday product decisions, including timely identification, escalation, mitigation, and closure of risks, control gaps, and findings.
  • Partner closely with first- and second-line risk partners, Compliance, Legal, Audit, Technology, Operations, and business leaders to maintain client trust and meet Schwab’s risk and regulatory expectations.
  • Develop and execute a deliberate stakeholder and relationship-management strategy across the enterprise, building credibility, creating transparency, and aligning partners around priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Facilitate complex decisions by clearly communicating recommendations, risks, dependencies, capacity constraints, and client and business implications to senior leaders.
  • Oversee platform intake, prioritization, roadmap execution, and ongoing maintenance, balancing new capabilities with platform stability, data quality, scalability, operational readiness, and technical health.
  • Ensure investment performance reporting experiences and underlying platform services are accurate, reliable, intuitive, and scalable for clients, advisors, and internal users.
  • Use data, analytics, client and advisor insights, market trends, and partner feedback to identify opportunities, define success measures, and guide platform strategy.
  • Partner with Agile delivery teams and product owners to translate strategy into clear outcomes, roadmaps, business cases, requirements, and measurable results.
  • Provide clear executive-level reporting on platform health, delivery progress, risks, outcomes, and decisions requiring leadership attention.
