A Specialist for the Specialized Trading Operations team within Charles Schwab Trust Bank will work with various internal and external business partners to facilitate specialized trading on behalf of retirement plans, as well as reviewing and processing fund additions to our trading platform. A Specialist will work towards becoming the subject matter expert for Unitized trading and Platform Fund Adds. They will also sustain their role as the processor for daily Asset Master Database additions and updates, reviewing and checking details related to Non-Standard Asset purchases, and daily assistance for the Specialized Trading Operations Trade Support function. Functional knowledge will be inclusive of the above, but not limited to, and will include additional duties as assigned. This role provides the opportunity to innovate, streamline processes, and reduce risk while supporting multiple key business partners. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both attention to detail and thinking in an unexpected way are a must. Candidates will need to communicate effectively within a team environment.

What you have
Bachelor’s degree required
Retirement industry experience required, with an emphasis on Trading Operations
Extensive knowledge of unitization services and providers, specifically in handling large trade uploads, monthly and quarterly fees, and Capstock Report updates
Knowledge of alternative investment trading and purchase settlement, specifically how to review and manage documentation and facilitate monetary settlement of capital calls for individuals in Personal Choice Retirement Accounts
Knowledge of mutual fund contracts and security masters
Ability to collaborate across multiple levels of the organization
Demonstrated analytical skills that include the ability to research and resolve issues to completion
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
