CS&S - SPS Participant Services is the business to end-user (“B to C”) unit supporting Stock Plan Services. Participant Services acts as the primary service and trading arm for SPS. We provide personalized service to employees (participants) of corporate clients, who utilize Schwab SPS to administer their equity compensation plans. Participant Services is guided by our mission: “Inspiring financial growth through education and world-class service”.
SPS Participant Services works with participants of more than 140 corporate equity compensation plans, helping to transact and provide education on their equity awards, inspire ownership of their financial futures, and deepen their relationship with Charles Schwab.
As a Financial Service Professional for the SPS Participant Services Impact Team at Charles Schwab, you will be joining a team that provides white-gloved service for time sensitive needs for the select handful of dedicated companies that they serve. Acting as a liaison for the Stock Plan Administrator and their participants, the Impact Team leverages their vast network of resources to ensure accurate, thorough, and timely resolutions.
Responsibilities include
- Ability to work autonomously while providing timely resolution to inquiries sent into dedicated corporate client email inboxes while occasionally making outbound calls when appropriate
- Manage team service levels during times of fluctuating workflow, and resolve issues within scope of knowledge and authority
- Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of own work within established time frames, utilizing project management tool Workfront to document and track follow-ups
- Serve as a resource to others on the floor and assist with 9/10 responsibilities, including account re-opens, EOS suspensions, CPS Survey Callouts, and Authentication Support
- Opportunities to support projects that align to team and departmental objectives
- Review and resolve cost basis VSP issues for Meta that arise during open trading windows, potentially needing to work overtime as needed
- Periodically assist virtually with Educational Workshops to help answer participant questions, potentially outside of normal scheduled hours to accommodate our international population
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required:
- Active FINRA Series 9/10 and 7/63/66
- Active FINRA Series 9/10, willing to consider COE for highly qualified individuals
- At least 1 year of SPS Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of tax certifications on participant accounts, including the form W8
- Must be highly collaborative and team-oriented with the ability to act as a resource for others
- Previous coaching and mentoring experience strongly preferred
- At least 2 years of brokerage services experience and 18 months of SPS Participant Services experience highly preferred
- Superior follow-up and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills and an ability to solve complex issues working with various levels of management and business partners
- Workfront experience a plus
