This role in Advisor Services Pricing requires special expertise in numerous areas relating to negotiated pricing including but not limited to Asset-Based Pricing and Transaction-Based Pricing commission schedules, Promotional Pricing. A successful AS Pricing specialist excels in a fast paced, sometimes uncharted, challenging professional environment. The team works very closely with business partners in AS Sales, Finance, Technology and Service. This role requires personal initiative and an ongoing commitment to maintaining a constant flow of information and building of knowledge within the team and overall business unit.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Act as a positive role model for the dedicated group while servicing our clients through regular interactions.
- Act as first point of escalation for Pricing requests.
- Relentlessly seek out opportunities to improve Pricing skill set and knowledge while continuely building relationships with relevant business partnership with the goal of bettering joint processes and/or gain efficiencies.
- Educate internal partners and clients while resolving complex issues including necessary research and analysis with an inquisitive, detail oriented mindset.
- Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and resolve complex Pricing and Billing requests and provide additional options when necessary.
- Researching pricing and billing data with an inquisitive, detail oriented mindset
- Proactively identify control gaps and inefficiencies and/or opportunities for process improvement/risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain Negotiated Pricing within Central Billing Platform (TBMS), Fleible Commission System (FLEX), and Relationship Pricing Tool systems.
- Project Manage any technical issues with our Pricing systems working with relevant departments to resolve when needed.
- Oversee the management of the Pricing workflow including but not limited to Salesforce, MyQ and Functional email boxes to maintain or exceed service levels. Shifting workflow amongst teamates as needed
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Deep understanding and recognition of risk factors related to Advisor Pricing and Billing.
- In-depth knowledge of Advisor Services products, services, complex subject matters, policies and procedures as well as demonstrated brokerage industry knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FINRA Series 7, 63, 9 and 10 Licenses is a plus.
- Advisor Services experience preferred
- Ability to effectively interact and represent the team, across enterprises as well as with external partners by demonstrationg articulate communication in person, phone, writing and strong listening skills.
- Superior planning and organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple issues concurrently.
- Proficient at working autonomously; requires little direction in how to approach assignments to completion and is accountable for business results.
- Passion for service, professionalism, positivity and strong work ethic with a high level of integrity and teamwork.
- Excellent relationship management skills including collaborating, influencing and negotiating.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, interact with individuals at various levels, and think on your feet.
- Initiative to create change through process improvements, training and streamlining functions.
- Ability to identify and prioritize potential risk situations and mitigate timely and effectively.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel as well as Schwab specific applications
