In Schwab Cybersecurity Services (SCS), Office of CISO, we provide platforms, services, and security
operations capabilities which enable the firm to produce successful client and shareholder outcomes
securely and safely. Securing our IT assets, data, and access to applications is the core of who we are
and what we do. We ensure only the appropriate entities have access to IT resources and that we
adhere to best practices and standards to ensure a safe and compliant environment is maintained.
Identity and Access Management (IAM) is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead and scale
IAM platform engineering and operations across IGA, SSO, and directory services.


This role owns execution, people leadership, and platform outcomes, translating IAM strategy into
delivered results while continuously improving resiliency, controls, and team capability. The leader will
manage senior engineers, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and play a key role in IAM
modernization, risk reduction, and operational maturity.


What you’ll do:
• Serve as the direct people leader for IAM L3 engineers; provide coaching, performance
feedback, and career development aligned to Schwab leadership principles
• Own end-to-end delivery for IAM platforms and services, ensuring commitments are met with
high quality, predictability, and operational excellence
• Ensure all work is actively tracked, risks are surfaced early, and dependencies are managed
across IAM, infrastructure, app teams, and vendors
• Provide senior-level oversight for IAM platforms including IGA, SSO, and LDAP Directories
• Ensure IAM controls meet security, audit, and regulatory expectations, and that platforms
operate in an audit-ready and resilient state
• Partner closely with Risk, Audit, Architecture, and Cyber teams to reduce access risk and
improve control effectiveness
• Own IAM change management governance, ensuring all production changes follow approved
change processes, risk classification, and documentation standards
• Serve as the IAM representative and approver in Change Advisory Board (CAB) forums,
accountable for assessing risk, customer impact, rollback readiness, and control compliance
for IAM-related changes
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex IAM incidents or production issues, ensuring swift
resolution and systemic fixes

What you have


To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
certification is preferred
• 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, or Security Engineering, with deep exposure to
enterprise-scale IAM platform
• Strong execution discipline with experience driving large, cross-team initiatives to completion
• Demonstrated ability to partner with audit, risk, compliance, and architecture teams
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational rigor in a high-availability environment
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with the ability to manage
multiple priorities and deadlines

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
