The Sr. Manager, IT Program Management Lead is a senior individual contributor responsible for enterprise program leadership, process architecture, governance, operational excellence, and technology modernization across Strategic Sourcing, the Centralized Purchasing and Signing Process (CPSP), Outsourcing Governance Office (OGO), Vendor Management, and Centralized Licensing. This role leads complex cross-functional initiatives, influences enterprise decisions, and develops scalable operating models, intake processes, data strategies, governance workflows, reporting capabilities, and automation solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, reduce risk, and support long-term business transformation.

This role provides the opportunity to shape Schwab's sourcing, vendor governance, workforce, and licensing ecosystem. The position will lead highly visible enterprise initiatives, partner across business and technology organizations, and drive meaningful outcomes through automation, analytics, process transformation, governance maturity, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise initiatives across CPSP, OGO, Vendor Management, Centralized Licensing, Strategic Sourcing, and related governance functions.
  • Develop long-term roadmaps that support sourcing, vendor management, licensing optimization, offshore governance, workforce governance, and operational scalability.
  • Serve as a senior advisor for CPSP architecture, intake workflow design, approval processes, data strategy, reporting, controls, and modernization priorities.
  • Lead requirements development for cross-functional initiatives involving procurement, workforce planning, finance, contracting, licensing, vendor governance, and technology platforms.
  • Partner with Finance, Workforce Administration, HR, CVM, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, ITAM, OCIO, and Technology teams to resolve complex business and operational challenges.
  • Build governance models, decision frameworks, operating procedures, scorecards, KPI structures, and control points that support enterprise consistency and accountability.
  • Drive process automation, workflow simplification, reporting improvements, dashboard requirements, data quality improvements, and integration opportunities across enterprise systems.
  • Support vendor governance initiatives, including contract ownership models, software licensing oversight, vendor accountability, governance improvements.
  • Analyze complex data sets and operational processes to identify risks, dependencies, root causes, process gaps, and practical recommendations.
  • Lead stakeholder workshops, governance discussions, executive updates, working sessions, demonstrations, and implementation planning activities.
  • Provide informal leadership, coaching, and guidance to analysts, developers, SMEs, and business partners while influencing outcomes without direct authority.

What you have


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT Program Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Workforce Administration, Vendor Management, Governance, Centralized Licensing, or related enterprise operations.
  • Advanced experience leading enterprise-wide programs involving procurement, contracting, vendor governance, workforce planning, financial governance, software licensing, and technology organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of Schwab sourcing and governance processes, including CPSP, Strategic Sourcing, OGO, Workforce Administration, vendor governance, enterprise approval workflows, and related intake processes.
  • Demonstrated experience designing business processes, governance frameworks, intake models, operating procedures, workflow automation, dashboard/reporting capabilities, and operational controls.
  • Experience partnering with development teams to translate business needs into requirements, release priorities, enhancements, user experience improvements, and scalable technology solutions.
  • Proven ability to investigate complex business issues, synthesize input from multiple stakeholders, identify root causes, and develop practical recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, executive communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across Finance, HR, Workforce Administration, CVM, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, ITAM, OCIO, and Technology teams.
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems or processes related to sourcing, procurement, contract management, workforce planning, vendor governance, software licensing, financial governance, or workflow approvals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience supporting CPSP, OGO, Vendor Management, Centralized Licensing, Strategic Sourcing, Workforce Administration, and enterprise intake or approval workflows.
  • Experience with Managed Capacity, Managed Services, offshore governance, work order governance, vendor accountability, SLA/KPI models, and vendor performance metrics.
  • Experience supporting centralized licensing, software utilization analysis, renewal planning, spend trend analysis, license governance, and software asset management processes.
  • Experience developing or improving enterprise intake processes, approval workflows, governance controls, dashboards, operational reporting, and automation solutions.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, HR, Workforce Administration, CVM, Procurement, ITAM, Strategic Sourcing, OCIO, and Technology.
  • Demonstrated success leading process modernization in a highly governed enterprise environment with complex stakeholder, data, system, and approval dependencies.
  • Ability to step into active programs quickly, understand operational history, identify dependencies, and provide senior-level guidance across business and technology partners.
