Schwab Technology Services enables how clients manage their money by delivering innovative, reliable

technology at scale. Within Schwab’s Google Cloud Data & Analytics ecosystem, this role plays a critical part in

keeping enterprise data platforms running smoothly and reliably. As a Senior Manager in Production Support,

you’ll partner closely with data engineering, platform, and business teams to support cloud-based data

workloads, strengthen operational health, and ensure data availability as enterprise demand continues to grow.

• Driving formulation of documentation, standards and production support processes for the Cloud

Data Warehouse production platforms and applications aligned with enterprise policies

• Own delivery of large-scale batch operations on a custom Schwab Data batch framework and

Google Cloud

• As a Hands-on Technical manager, proactively detecting, troubleshooting, and resolving all issues

affecting production applications. This involves coordination with and escalation to development and

external teams where necessary. This team owns all production support issues escalated to ADPE

until they are resolved, or a workaround is provided to end users

• Providing clear, concise, and timely communication to affected parties during the investigation and

resolution of any individual or system-wide outages

• Partnering with development teams to ensure any new systems or projects meet the Production

Readiness standards

• Partnering with Business stakeholders to educate and navigate them through the Schwab

Technology Services (STS) standards and policies for new projects or enhancements to existing

investments

• Constantly updating knowledge repository, and ensuring seamless availability and accessibility of

information regarding in context of support related activities or issues

• Servicing all requests for data or other activities that require access to Production systems

Improving self-reliance and reducing dependency on the availability of development or external team

resources for the initial troubleshooting and resolution of problems

• Driving and supporting cross-functional large-scale production releases and rollouts

• Providing technical oversight for junior team members on day-to-day activitie

What you have


To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor is Computer Science Engineering or related field

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on production support experience in Data warehousing domain

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting data applications and analytics in Google Big Query

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Control-M or Autosys

• Proficient hands-on experience with Linux and shell scripting

• Strong SQL and data analysis skills

• Demonstrated experience in optimizing batch operations through automation and self-healing

solutions and embedding industry standard best practices in batch processes.

• Hands-on experience in supporting workloads in IDMC, or similar ETL tools, preferred

• Effectively navigating and supporting Incident and Change Management processes with an end-to-end

understanding of the system flows and technology landscape

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a lead to mentor junior resources onsite and offshore. • Experience in Finance or Insurance industry preferred.
