As an Onboarding Coach within the AWS Employee Onboarding and Training Team, our mission is to ready and advance the performance of both new and tenured employees to deliver world-class service to our Advisors and clients through job training and business model evolution enablement in support of the AWS Vision.

This role will be responsible for guiding the onboarding experience of new hires to Advisor Services by delivering high impact learning journeys designed to provide knowledge and tactical skills including in-the-moment support for Service Professionals while working with Advisors and providing deliberate coaching to build foundational soft skills and accelerate job readiness.  To effectively drive readiness, this role is also responsible for interacting with cross-site teams and internal stakeholders as well as business partners and leaders across the organization, managing projects, and maintaining adherence to quality standards and project deliverables.  Delivery takes place via different methods such as in person and/or virtually.

Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of the AWS organization processes and procedures with the expertise to navigate Schwab systems.
  • Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with leadership and team members.
  • Comfort in facilitating or presenting formal training to a variety of audiences and methods such as in person and/or virtually.
  • Proficiency in anticipating and resolving problems under your own initiative while also working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to embrace, pivot, and shift focus based on changing priorities and/or the business environment and champion innovative ideas.
  • Professionalism, positivity, and passion for developing others and strong work ethic with a high level of integrity and teamwork.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple competing priorities within established timeframes.
  • Deep understanding of coaching strategies and styles, and the ability to adjust as needed to fit the situation.
  • Advanced emotional intelligence to diagnose and address learning and performance barriers, including gaps in knowledge, skill application, and role effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with MyTraining, iKnow Sharepoint
  • Minimum of 3 years in AWS preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
