The Manager, IT Product Management, leads the strategic direction and operational excellence of Corporate Real Estate (CRE) technology systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and reliable platforms that enable efficient work management across the enterprise. This role drives innovation in systems integration, configuration, standardization, and data governance to support CRE’s evolving business needs.
As a leader and designated Product Owner for multiple enterprise technologies, this position collaborates with a team of technical professionals and partners closely with Property Management, Engineering, Strategy, Retail, Information Technology, Schwab Technical Services, Finance, and external vendors. The Manager is accountable for aligning technology solutions with CRE’s long-term objectives, optimizing service delivery, and enabling actionable insights through advanced analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the technology roadmap for CRE systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Team Collaboration: Lead and develop a team of high-performing contractors responsible for system administration, integration, and support.
- Governance & Standardization: Establish policies and standards for system configuration, data integrity, and security compliance.
- Innovation & Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, user experience, and operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between CRE and enterprise technology teams, influencing decisions and securing resources.
- Vendor & Budget Oversight: Manage vendor relationships and oversee budgets for technology projects and ongoing support.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to anticipate future trends and align technology strategy with business objectives.
- Influence & Collaboration: Builds strong partnerships across departments and vendors to drive enterprise-wide solutions.
- Change Leadership: Champions innovation and manages platform changes effectively.
- Decision-Making: Makes data-driven decisions that balance risk, cost, and business impact.
- Talent Development: Coaches and mentors CRE members to build technical and leadership capabilities.
- Operational Excellence: Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.
What you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, or a minimum of 10 years of experience in technology systems management; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Proven expertise in enterprise system integration, data analytics, and product ownership.
- Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks (Scaled Agile).
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and SaaS solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Demonstrated success in budget management and vendor negotiations.
- Expertise in system programming, configuration, and integration with a focus on data governance, analytics, and reporting.
- Deep exposure to engineering and property management operations, with ability to influence and partner across multiple business units.
- Exceptional ability to present complex technical topics, lead virtual training sessions (MS Teams, Cisco Webex), and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly analytical with strong pattern recognition, logical data organization, and ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) highly desired.
