Director, Conversion Consultant (IC)
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with Field on Large & Complex Opportunities
- Serve as a trusted BAT Consultant for Branch, BDO, and BAT partners on large, complex opportunities
- Provide front‑to‑back consultative support across pursuit, proposal, onboarding, and early servicing
- Expand Reach and Field Enablement
- SPWS Offer Growth & Institutional Alignment
- Advancement of BAT Objectives & Enterprise Integration
- Engage with Branches to understand the client goals/objectives and help coordinate and execute on deliverables needed to support the acquisition / onboarding of large opportunities for UHNW clients.
- Have an understanding of wealth management and investment products.
- Develop a deep understanding of the client opportunity allowing a streamlined and personalized experience while engaging the right SMEs and identifying solutions for complex needs that may require an accommodation. Proactively and seek to address the needs discovered.
- Partner with the Branch by providing input and expertise around how Schwab can support the needs of the client to support consolidation of assets for both existing and new clients.
- Navigate and lead through ambiguous situations requiring creative / out of the box solutions while operating with a can-do attitude and sense of urgency; collaborating and mobilizing resources across all of Schwab.
- Support Business Accommodations Team (BAT) and SPWS priorities and objectives, including Consulting with Field on Large & Complex Opportunities; Expanding Reach and Field Enablement; SPWS Offer Growth & Institutional Alignment; and Advancement of BAT Objectives & Enterprise Integration.
- Maintain flexibility and awareness of the needs and priorities of partners while still providing a perspective to drive growth.
- Provide world-class service to clients with complex wealth management needs.
- Gain trust as a partner that works effectively with a diverse range of functions and levels to drive accountability to timelines and deliverables.
- Distilling and summarizing sophisticated information down to the main points, with the appropriate level of detail to make it understandable/concrete.
- Tailor approach for a range of audiences including senior leaders, the field and Branch partners, ensuring that the “so what” is highly relevant and clear.
- Remains flexible in changing environmental, economic, and client need scenarios; proven experience demonstrating the ability to lead change within self and others positively.
- Able to adjust style of communication to best connect with others. Knows how to follow the proper risk, supervision and controls guidelines to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
- Exhibits strong culture of compliance, adherence to policy and Schwab’s high standards.
What you have
To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience
- A valid and active Series 66 (63/65), 7, and 9/10 license required.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in the financial services industry (required)
- 5+ years HNW client experience
- A client-centric focus that keeps clients in the forefront of decisions and connects plans and actions to our purpose of serving investors and branch network personnel.
- Detail-oriented with superior organization and project management skills and the ability to multi-task and work efficiently to meet deadlines on an independent basis.
- Strong knowledge of Schwab products and services across organizations.
- Demonstrated experience building relationships and working with cross-functional teams.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including being able to synthesize data, develop cohesive business cases and recommendations, influence partners and create and deliver compelling storylines.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to gain the respect and support of senior leadership, partners and peers.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
