The Director, Third Party Program Manager, Sourcing is responsible for developing and maturing Banking and Trust Services’ (BTS) Third Party Management Program (TPMP).    Key areas of focus include BTS Sourcing program contribution, execution and documentation, process improvement, tool enhancement and regulatory exam preparedness and response.   The Director will accomplish these objectives through the building of key partnerships, having great communication, and effective project management. 

BTS follows the three lines of defense model of risk governance.  The Director, Third Party Program Manager, Sourcing is a first line of defense position for Banking and Trust Services and assures compliance with all corporate and Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations in the context of their responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Manages all contractual work for BTS according to the BTS Vendor Management Policies
    • Work with the BTS business owners to source new vendors
    • Lead contractual discussions working closely with the Business, Legal and Compliance groups
    • Ensure that a Non-Disclosure Agreement is in place before in-depth business meetings with potential vendors
    • Assist with the Risk Assessment and the due diligence process for new vendors
    • Coordinate with the appropriate groups for Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotes (RFQ) or Requests for Proposals (RFP)
    • Work on new contract proposals, contract renewals, amendments and work orders
  • Responsible for contributing to the sourcing of the BTS Vendor Management Program
    • Ensure that the external agreements are renewed on time
    • Manage the BTS Sourcing team to ensure BTS policies and procedures are followed
    • Provide Sourcing thought contribution to ensure the strategy execution, administration and governance is in accordance with the Bank’s risk appetite
  • Responsible for building strong relationships with external and internal business partners to achieve goals
    • Partner with various departments such as legal, product management, compliance and CS&Co’s Vendor Management to successfully negotiate contracts and to facilitate ongoing monitoring
    • Build strong working relationships with the inter-affiliate service providers as well as the external vendor account management teams
    • Participate in meetings with the BTS Management team for escalated vendor issues
  • Provide representation as needed for BTS projects and audits
    • Participate, track and oversee projects that impact the vendors
    • Participate in Regulatory Exams and provide representation for BOOM when needed
    • Coordinate meetings between the project team and the vendor when needed
    • Work with Internal Audit for scheduled audits that involve the services provided by external vendors

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

The position of Bank Outsourcing & Oversight Management – Director carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's policies and complies with all laws, rules, and regulations applicable to the position.

  • 10+ years of contract management and/or project management experience
  • Must be able to build strong relationships throughout the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to succeed in a fast pace heavy workload environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven record of tracking and measuring results
  • 5+ years of managing a team of employees
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Knowledge of bank systems and financial regulations
  • Master’s degree required
