The Financial Solutions Branch (FSB) is a segment of the Wealth & Centralized Solutions (WCS) organization within Investor Services. FSB engages Mass Affluent clients ($500K-$1M) through team and dedicated relationships, provides a full wealth management experience, and introduces clients to additional Schwab services as their needs evolve.

As a Client Relationship Specialist (CRS), you will pursue this mission by consistently supporting service levels, managing client escalations, and helping deliver resolutions that meet the needs of the client, FSB, and the company. This role also includes dedicated responsibility for FSB project coordination and execution, including planning, organizing timelines and deliverables, supporting communication, and helping FSB Directors move key initiatives forward.

Our Client Relationship Specialist with project coordination responsibilities will pursue this mission through:

  • Delivering unparalleled value, excellent service and providing a positive client experience
  • Managing a case queue which includes service & research requests that range from simple to complex with varying urgency levels
  • Firm understanding of regulatory and compliance policies associated with brokerage business and risk mitigation in day-to-day job function 
  • Collaborating with other Client Relationship Specialists to support the goals of the enterprise
  • Scheduling clients with a consultant for further consultation
  • Partnering with Financial Consultants, Investment Consultants, Portfolio Solutions Consultants, leaders, and teams to perform operational activities that support sales efforts and improve team execution.
  • Taking initiative to identify, participate in, and manage special projects, assignments, and one-off needs that support FSB priorities.
  • Jointly managing project timelines, deliverables, cadence, and follow-through to keep FSB initiatives coordinated from start to finish.
  • Coordinating project communication, sequencing, logistics, and materials for FSB priorities such as practice book clean-up, offsites, All Hands updates, and Director-driven initiatives.
  • Maintaining team communication tools and resources, including MS Teams channels, job workflow updates, project materials, and repeatable checklists or handoffs.
  • Uncovering additional business development opportunities through various avenues
  • Researching and resolving operational inefficiencies, and identifying areas of improvement that will assist our group in reaching team objectives
  • Utilizing business partners and resources to drive scale within our business model
  • Handling client escalations and issues with tact and diplomacy

  • Receiving checks and or security deposits, check disbursements and new account processing
  • Actively uncovering additional business development opportunities
  • Scheduling clients with an Associate Financial Consultant and/or Financial Consultant for further consultation

What you have


Required Qualifications & Essential skills include:

  • Ability to adapt to changes in the market and business while balancing core CRS responsibilities with project work, unique initiatives, and broader organizational goals.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in addition to attention to detail
  • Strong project coordination skills, including the ability to organize work, track progress, follow up on deliverables, and communicate status updates clearly.
  • Robust communication, influencing and client engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team, while handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Building and fostering good cross enterprise working relationships
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize issues and invest time where appropriate
  • Comfort with building repeatable processes, checklists, handoffs, and communication routines that improve consistency and leader capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active and valid FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses
  • Understanding of the financial services industry and securities industry 
  • 2+ years of client service experience
  • Experience supporting projects, coordinating cross-functional work, maintaining project trackers, or organizing team communications preferred.

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
