Position Purpose

The Business Strategy Manager is responsible for translating Charles Schwab Trust Bank (CSTB) strategic priorities into executable programs and measurable business outcomes. This role serves as a central liaison across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Business teams to drive initiatives, strengthen governance practices, improve executive visibility, and support regulatory and transformation objectives. The position combines strategic planning, program management, executive communications, risk oversight, and performance reporting to help leadership successfully deliver on key business priorities.

Scope of Responsibility

The Business Strategy Manager may support initiatives across multiple strategic areas, including:

  • Executive reporting and business intelligence programs
  • Enterprise governance and control framework enhancements
  • Regulatory and audit remediation efforts
  • AML and risk management initiatives
  • Technology transformation programs
  • Process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives

What You Have

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead high-priority strategic initiatives from inception through implementation.
  • Translate executive priorities into actionable roadmaps, milestones, success metrics, and deliverables.
  • Drive program execution and ensure alignment across multiple stakeholders and business functions.
  • Monitor initiative performance and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and escalation needs.

Executive Reporting & Business Performance

  • Develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and presentations that provide actionable insights.
  • Deliver timely updates to senior leadership regarding strategic initiatives, project health, risks, and accomplishments.
  • Measure adoption, utilization, and business value realization across key initiatives.
  • Recommend enhancements and corrective actions based on analysis and stakeholder feedback.
  • Support leadership decision-making through data-driven reporting and business recommendations.

Governance, Risk, and Regulatory Oversight

  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Audit teams to ensure initiatives align with regulatory and control requirements.
  • Assist in remediation efforts related to regulatory examinations, audits, and risk management initiatives.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Facilitate alignment among Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Legal stakeholders.
  • Build strong partnerships to drive consensus and execution across complex organizational initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness.

Reduce leadership coordination burden through structured program ownership and governance practices.          

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
