As a Senior Specialist in Retail Schwab Private Wealth Services (SPWS) Account Solutions, you will deliver operational expertise and outstanding support to high-net-worth clients, ensuring prompt and thorough service for both new and existing accounts. This role involves close collaboration with Partner Support, Investor Services, Branches and other Operations teams to efficiently address client and field inquiries, including escalations and exceptions. You will be responsible for team-focused support and managing prioritized work items related to households with over $10 million in assets at Charles Schwab.
What you'll do:
- Provide exceptional, timely service to ultra-high-net-worth clients during new account setup and account maintenance.
- Support team members with complex inquiries, exception requests, and escalated client issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current policies and procedural changes, ensuring team readiness and compliance.
- Monitor and validate team performance using efficiency and quality metrics, and adjust queue management as needed.
- Identify and recommend process improvements for operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with clients and business partners via phone and written correspondence, establishing clear points of contact for ongoing support and escalations.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), offering guidance and decision-making support for complex account situations and documentation approvals.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach to deliver high-quality service and meet client expectations.
- Balance productivity and service quality while managing multiple tasks.
- Adhere to business, brand, financial, and regulatory risk guidelines in all account-related decisions.
What you have

Required Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in Retail SPWS New Account and Account Maintenance.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Series 7, 63 and 4/24 licenses preferred, but not required.
- Advanced technical skills, including proficiency in at least five applications simultaneously and robust knowledge of Schwab’s internal systems (Client Central, Blue Zone, MyQ, Service Wizards, Salesforce, Knowledge Center).
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex topics to clients and business partners.
- Proven ownership mentality and subject matter expertise, with a passion for client service and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence positive change.
- Professionalism, enthusiasm, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work in a structured environment during business-determined hours.
