Advisor Wealth Services (AWS) is an industry leader in providing custody, trading, technology, and practice management services to independent advisory firms. Within AWS, the Institutional Group (IG) Service supports advisors across the country with assets under management at Schwab ranging from $700 million to more than $4.5 billion. As a Sr. Specialist, you will serve as a trusted resource for Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) by resolving complex service needs, coordinating with business partners, and delivering accurate, timely, and personalized support. Through this work, you will help advisors manage their firms, meet their goals, and support their clients.
You will build trust and inspire confidence by delivering high-quality service in a relationship-based model. In this senior role, you will exercise sound judgment, take end-to-end ownership, and:
- Resolve advisor needs across inbound calls, outbound calls, and email, including new accounts, transaction status, money movement, account transfers, retirement services, and account maintenance.
- Deliver outstanding client service with empathy, strong problem-solving skills, and a focus on resolving needs during the initial interaction whenever possible.
- Own advisor needs through completion by conducting advanced research, following up, advocating for advisors, and collaborating with business partners to deliver timely, accurate information.
- Use active listening, open-ended dialogue, and rapport building to understand advisor needs and document conversations in the Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform to support personalized service.
- Anticipate potential client issues and take proactive steps to prevent recurrence.
- Promote adoption of Schwab’s digital platform by explaining relevant features and benefits and providing effective website navigation support.

What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required:
- 6+ months of experience in an Advisor Wealth Services Specialist role.
- Active FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Proven ability to develop trusted relationships, collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels, and confidently navigate complex advisor interactions while delivering exceptional service and solutions.
- Ability to manage moderately complex work independently and influence advisor business through education and product knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, supported by exceptional organization and attention to detail, with the ability to deliver a high-quality service experience across phone, email, and digital channels.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and business partners while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Sound judgment and the ability to balance effective risk management with practical problem-solving.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
