This is a full-time rotational function supporting Client Service & Support (CS&S) Core Service intended for a 12–18-month period. Timing of rotation will be determined by individual performance and/or business need. At the end of this rotation, based on performance and/or business need, you may go back to a similar/like role, stay in your current role or apply to any role at Schwab that you are qualified for with the appropriate comp/ABO associated with such role.
As a Senior Service Hiring Manager in CS&S, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to make decisions for our teams that will directly impact both our organization’s growth and success, as well as the individual career trajectories of future Schwab employees. In this role, you will identify and select candidates that show high potential for a career at Charles Schwab for our Customer Service and Support teams. As a Service Hiring Manager, you’ll work closely with business leaders and partners as a trusted expert, interviewing and selecting new hire candidates based on projected hiring needs. You’ll be at the center of our CS&S hiring efforts, touching all relevant events including our SCOUT (Schwab Campus Outreach) events, which you would attend and help plan, and other Schwab hiring events specific to CS&S. If you’re a leader who is passionate about telling your Schwab story, building our ever-growing and highly critical Service and Support organization with top talent, developing your leadership capabilities, and advocating for the firm as an enthusiastic brand ambassador, this may be the role for you.
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Active FINRA Series 7, 63, 9/10 licenses
- 2 years of people manager experience in a financial service call center setting
- 1 year of experience interviewing and selecting high potential candidates
- Demonstrated experience conducting and evaluating behavior-based interviews within CS&S
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading CS&S teams while managing tasks simultaneously
- Strong candidates will have robust written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills Strong comprehension of Employee Value Proposition (EVP) for CS&S
- Established relationships with onsite leadership to be able to partner on hiring needs
- Ability to train and coach peer manager team on interviewing best practices and behaviors
- Management and coordination of hiring activities across local leadership and partner with senior leaders on key hiring directives
- Self-directed, self-motivated, and able to work independently on a variety of tasks
- Strong adaptability skills and ability to exercise excellent judgment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Superior analytical abilities as demonstrated by gathering, analyzing, and delivering information in both verbal and written formats
- Exhibited success in creating a “through the client’s eyes” experience with a focus on proactive and productive conversations
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the Schwab Service Academy program
- Experience working job fairs and onsite recruiting events
- Strong partnership skills to build new and maintain relationships with colleagues and business partners’ cross-site in a fast-paced, results oriented culture
- Strong candidates will have a passion for talent attraction and desire to identify diverse talent
- Have a voice and take proactive steps in process improvement and innovation of the hiring and onboarding process for new hire candidates
