DAFgiving360 has entered into a services agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for administrative and other services, including human resources. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and will be subject to its policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to DAFgiving360 for day-to-day activities.
Our opportunity
DAFgiving360’s Service & Operations team delivers the end-to-end service experience and operational execution that supports our clients, advisors, charities, and partners. Within the organization, the Grants team enables our mission processing donor grant recommendations accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with eligibility, due diligence, and regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Sr. Grants Manager will hire, lead and develop a team of Grants Specialists, driving strong performance, continuous improvement, and a culture of ownership and excellence. This role owns the granting workflow and related controls—overseeing daily execution, establishing clear procedures, monitoring service levels, and performing quality reviews and audits to ensure consistent, high-integrity client and charity experience. You’ll partner closely with leaders across Service & Operations and with Schwab and DAFgiving360 stakeholders to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and manage risk. In addition to standard grant processing, you will guide complex granting needs including account maintenance, contributions and customized service support for select accounts.
What you’ll do
- Creating and cultivating a highly engaged environment of teamwork, integrity, open communication, transparency, and Donor/Investment Advisor loyalty.
- Hiring and Developing team members through motivation, coaching and career development; includes screening, interviewing, hiring and onboarding new employees per annually updated sourcing strategy and forecast
- Playing a significant role in helping to support a growing, evolving, and growth business.
- Overseeing operational and service delivery efforts ensuring the highest quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Building a brand of leadership and influence across business segments and collaborating with peer Managers, as well as other partners across locations, to support change, drive consistency, share best practices, and other relevant topics.
- Identifying process improvements and creative solutions that lead to improved efficiency and reduced risks.
- Complaint and complex problem resolution, ability to analyze root causes to ensure errors are not duplicated.
- Supervision and oversight through recurring risk evaluations, policy/procedure & document reviews ensuring risk is mitigated and compliant with IRS rules and regulations.
- Participating in and supporting organizational wide strategic projects and initiatives.
What you have
- BA/BS degree with 3 to 5 years of leadership experience preferred (background in financial services, specifically with Charles Schwab, Inc., or the non-profit sector desired)
- Experience in the non-profit sector highly desired
- Certified Advisor in Philanthropy certification a plus
- A love and passion for philanthropy and helping donors achieve their charitable goals.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with demonstrated success and passion for leading employee development and engagement
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking with high emotional intelligence
- A highly adaptive, change-positive personality with ability to keep pace in a fast-growing non-profit industry within a team structure
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities efficiently, effectively and meet deadlines on time
- Attention to detail and accuracy with ability to handle simple to highly complex tasks
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver concise and effective messages to all levels of the organization including business partners, donors, and charitable organizations.
- No travel is required but may occur a few times each year
