Director, Corporate Actions –Modernization & Transformation Strategy (PL)

This role provides strategic and execution leadership for the modernization and transformation of Corporate Actions Department. The Director is accountable for evolving operating models, strengthening controls, improving efficiency, and enabling scalable support for increasing business volume and complexity, while maintaining strong risk and governance discipline.
Key Accountabilities
- Define and execute the functional modernization strategy for Corporate Actions with an Enterprise mindset.
- Establish future state operating models aligned with firm strategies.
- Design requirements and implement future-state operating models that improve scalability, resiliency, and consistency.
- Lead process redesign and efficiency initiatives to reduce manual processing and operational risk.
- Provide oversight for technology-enabled solutions in partnership with Technology and Product Platform teams.
- Ensure a strong control environment through embedded risk management, governance, and escalation practices.
- Lead change management efforts to support adoption of new processes and tools. Ensure readiness, training and engagement during change.
- Develop and monitor performance metrics, risk indicators, and transformation progress reporting.
- Ensure initiatives are delivered while maintaining operational stability.
Decision Making & Scope
The Director exercises independent judgment within established frameworks and is accountable for forward thinking execution decisions. The role influences prioritization, sequencing, and design of initiatives, escalating material risks, funding needs, or strategic trade-offs as appropriate.
Leadership & Collaboration
Leads through influence and collaboration across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Product Platform, and Governance. Provides direction to managers, SME’s and teams impacted by modernization efforts and ensures alignment to enterprise priorities. Drive adoption of new tools and operating models. Reduce manual dependencies through automation & standardization.
Risk & Control Responsibility
Accountable for ensuring appropriate controls are embedded within modernized processes and for partnering with Risk and Audit to support regulatory alignment, issue management, and audit readiness.
What you have
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Operations, Corporate Actions, Asset Servicing, Payments, or Reconciliations.
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience managing leaders and large operational teams.
- Deep understanding of Mandatory Corporate Actions and distribution payment lifecycles.
- Strong risk management, control, and governance expertise in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
