The AS Fraud Operation team supports the Advisor Services Fraud Investigations Senior and Vulnerable Investigations Teamsmanaging the fraud intake process as the First Line of Defense. This team also supports the Service & Surveillance Teams assisting with Wire Insights and Surveillance case processing. Our team collaborates across the organization to deliver current fraud trend education and implement business improvements through efficient, disciplined project execution of effective solutions to business problems and opportunities.
What you’ll do:
- As an AS Fraud Operations Manager, you will perform at an individual contributor level
- Ensure department initiatives are achieved while keeping team morale and productivity high
- Collaborate regularly with business partners, including Service, Alliance, Sales, and Financial Crimes Risk Management
- Support the Schwab business in successfully identifying fraud and suspicious activity, manage the intake and escalation process of this activity to the appropriate investigation teams, and proactively partner to identify trends and training opportunities
- Regularly communicate with Advisors, Service, and clients to gather incident details and educate on account stabilization and Schwab security measures.
- Regularly communicate with outside bank or brokerage institutions
- Responsible for representing Advisor Services on enterprise-wide, cross functional strategic initiatives involving fraud
- Exemplify the vision and values of Schwab
What you have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of financial services industry experience (brokerage and fraud preferred)
- Internal and external client focus; ability to effectively and quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence and confidence
- The ability to identify fraud trends impacting departments within Advisor Services (AS) and escalating to Leadership
- Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to execute challenging conversations with internal partners and external clients
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and work on multiple assignments and complete them within established deadlines
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
- FINRA Series 7 and/or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Certification preferred
