As a Sr. Specialist in Managed Investing (MI), you’ll utilize your growing expertise to champion our MI clients’ personal financial goals, working as the first point of contact as they call or chat in for support, education, and guidance.  While working in a dynamic environment, you’ll leverage your passion for client service and wealth management as you expand your knowledge on Schwab Managed Investing products.

This role will provide you the opportunity to further licensing aimed at developing future leaders and advice/guidance roles, as well as additional training in our specialized client segment.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to: 

  • Provide exceptional service and support via multiple contact channels to both clients and internal partners
  • Functions as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the team and supports others through informal coaching and mentorship
  • Provide comprehensive education regarding portfolio performance with existing MI clients
  • Uncover development opportunities through a needs-based analysis to further deepen our clients’ overall relationship with Schwab
  • Apply a consultative approach to assess and determine appropriate solutions to meet client’s goals and needs
  • Assist in completing the account open process Managed Accounts
  • Assist clients in navigating and understanding Schwab’s website, proprietary investing tools, portfolio performance data and third-party research
  • Schedule appointments for SIP Premium clients
  • Utilize judgement to make good decisions for escalated issues and enforce company policies in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures
  • Complete hands-on training with managed products and robo-advising tools.

What you have


Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience within Financial Services and/or Brokerage Services
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses
  • Experience and knowledge of the Retail investment advisory business, preferably with Schwab Managed Account Solutions, SalesForce, ROE, ngOMS, and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher
  • Previous experience supporting Managed Accounts in a front or middle office environment
  • Displays the confidence, skill and professionalism demanded by this client segment to resolve critical issues in a manner that strengthens the client relationship
  • Proficiency and expertise of asset allocation, portfolio construction, and modern portfolio theory
  • Excellent analytical skills and trading experience with the ability to effectively mitigate risk and adhere to trading accuracy while adhering to policies, procedures, and guidelines 
  • Proficient in asking probing questions to clearly understand the client’s needs, using good judgment when responding, and selecting language and examples tailored to the specific experience level of the client 
  • Collaborative and relationship-focused work style with demonstrated success in a team environment 
  • Excellent time management & communication skills, positive demeanor, enthusiasm, professionalism, a strong work ethic
  • Openness to ongoing coaching and development to achieve positive client outcomes and career aspirations

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
