Schwab Technology Services Finance helps technology leaders understand financial performance, anticipate future costs, and make informed investment decisions. As a Senior Manager, Finance, you will serve as a senior individual contributor and trusted finance partner to the Cross Enterprise Services and Client Trading Experience Technology organizations, translating business drivers into financial plans, turning complex information into clear insights, and influencing important technology spending decisions through expertise and credible communication rather than formal authority.

What you have

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

• Established financial planning and analysis experience, including direct ownership of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and leadership reporting

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, reconciliation, scenario analysis, and consolidation of information from multiple sources

• Strong financial accounting knowledge, including expense accruals, cash flow, software capitalization, return on investment, and net present value

• Analytical thinking and decision-making skills that support accurate conclusions, defensible assumptions, and practical recommendations

• Communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain complex financial information and influence partners without formal authority

• Ability to balance competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and adapt effectively as business needs change

Preferred qualifications

• MBA, CPA, or similar

• 6+ years of progressively responsible financial planning, analysis, forecasting, or related finance experience

• Experience supporting technology finance, project finance, enterprise FP&A, or strategic finance

• Experience creating business cases, scenario models, investment analyses, and executive-level presentations

• Demonstrated process improvement experience that strengthened forecast accuracy, reporting speed, controls, or decision-making

Business partnering and planning

• Partner with technology leaders to understand business drivers and translate them into budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.

• Build and maintain financial models supporting scenario planning, business cases, and investment decisions.

• Surface opportunities to improve cost efficiency and productivity, and support transformation, capacity planning, and process improvement initiatives.

Analysis and reporting

• Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting, forecasts, and executive-level commentary consistent with corporate standards.

• Analyze variances between actuals and plan, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

• Consolidate financial and operational data from multiple sources into clear insights, including relevant performance and operational metrics.

Collaboration and process

• Work across Accounting, Central Finance, Vendor Management, Human Resources, and Technology Strategy to support consistent financial execution

• Improve planning and reporting processes to strengthen forecast accuracy, reporting speed, and controls.
