Estate Services is a specialized organization within the broader Schwab Operational Services Enterprise providing high-touch service to our clients and the advisors that serve them. We support clients and advisors during critical life events by delivering timely, empathetic, and expert estate guidance.

As a Schwab Advisor Services Estate Specialist, you will be responsible for creating an extraordinary, authoritative experience for business partners, advisors, and clients to build trust and long-term loyalty. Specifically, you will:

  • Actively deliver unparalleled value and excellent service to build and maintain Advisor and client loyalty
  • Engage Investment Advisors and business partners in a manner that inspires confidence in Schwab and Estate Services
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for client service, exhibiting positive energy and strong problem-solving skills while connecting with clients through phone-based conversations, written communication, and other service channels
  • Serve as a primary point of contact by proactively anticipating needs and initiating outbound phone calls to Advisors and clients to provide status updates, clarify requirements, and provide guidance throughout the estate settlement process, ensuring a smooth, informed, and timely experience
  • Communicate complex estate and trust concepts in a clear, compassionate, and confident manner during live phone interactions
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with team members to support individual, team, and department objectives

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of previous experience with estate services
  • 2+ years of operational experience in legal or financial services, including brokerage, banking, legal/paralegal, or research environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in any business or finance‑related field, and/or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • Strong critical thinking and sound judgment skills, with the ability to analyze complex, incomplete, or ambiguous information, identify risks or gaps, and determine the most appropriate course of action within policy and regulatory guidelines

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated passion for service and the financial markets
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including comfort handling sensitive conversations over the phone
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and internet-based systems, with the ability to quickly navigate multiple tools and platforms to support efficient case work and client interactions
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple cases and clients by effectively triaging work, leveraging excellent time management skills, and navigating communication across phone and written channels
  • Proven analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex legal, tax, and estate-related scenarios, synthesize information from multiple sources, and apply logical decision-making to drive accurate and efficient case resolution
  • Licensing preferred (Series 7, 63, 9, 10, or 24)

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
